I was listening to Rush Limbaugh in the car this afternoon and he played the Battle Hymn of the Republic. I never can sing along to that song without getting choked up. I thought I would post the lyrics for you all, it really is a beautiful song.
Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord;
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loos’d the fateful light-ning of His terrible swift sword,
His truth is marching on.
Glory, glory Hallelujah!
Glory, glory Hallelujah!
Glory, glory Hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.
I have seen Him in the watch-fires of a hundred circling camps;
They have builded HIm an altar in the evening dews and damps;
I can read His righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps,
His day is marching on.
Glory, glory Hallelujah!
Glory, glory Hallelujah!
Glory, glory Hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.
Amen!
Words by Julia Ward Howe. Julia Ward was the wife of a doctor serving the American Civil War.

To be fair and balanced they should have done “Dixie”, too.

Fair and balanced…I hear that straw-man term used far more often than it deserves to be. The implication is that “all views are equally valid”. This is the basis for the false construct known as the Hegelian Dialectic (look it up) upon which our modern mis-edu-manipulation system is based, courtesy of John Dewey (communist extraordinaire). The simple fact is this: two diametrically opposite views CANNOT exist in the same place at the same time with equal validity. Patriotism cannot exist with globalism. Freedom as envisioned by our founding fathers cannot exist alongside atheistic secular humanism. Truth MUST NOT abide silently the historical and cultural revisionism that denies, or simply ignores, the verifiable, rich and JUDEO-CHRISTIAN heritage replete in our founding documents and the overwhelming preponderance of quotes left us by those who lived the founding of this, the greatest nation in human history.
