President Bush lifts ban put in place by his dad.

Today President George W. Bush signed an executive order lifting a ban on offshore oil drilling put into place by former President George H. W. Bush.

Good for him! He had previously said he would sign the order after Congress lifted its own ban on offshore drilling. Of course, Congress refused to act, so Bush went ahead and signed the order today. The ball is officially in Congress’ court.

It’s really too bad we now have a Democrat majority in the House and Senate. If not there is no doubt the ban on drilling would be lifted. If not for Nancy Pelosi the issue may have already come up for a vote on the House floor. The arrogance of these people is stunning to behold. They claim to be the ones to solve the problems of average Americans when they are the very people causing the problems. Talk about the tyranny of the majority.

Let’s all hope we have enough change to continue paying these high gas prices. If you don’t, sign the American Solutions Petition to drill here and drill now.
