The McCain campaign’s plan to announce the VP pick this morning was brilliant. Any momentum picked up by Barack Obama has come to a halt. The news this morning is all about McCain and speculation on the VP pick. By all reports it looks like it’s going to be Sarah Palin.
Sarah Palin is a strong conservative, she’s tough and far more experienced than Barack Obama. She’s also a youthful mother of five and will really help McCain with women voters.
I think McCain may have managed to take the wind out of Obama’s sails. I can’t wait for the Vice Presidential debates!

I usually don’t disagree with you but….. She is a two time city council women and then mayor of Wasilla, Alaska. She has been Governor for aprox. two years. This is not exactly a meaty resume.
Obama has been a state senator from 1997 to 2004 and a US Senator since 2004.
She may be extremely qualified for the job but In an interview just a month ago, she dissed the job, saying it didn’t seem “productive.”
In fact, she said she doesn’t know what the vice president does.
Larry Kudlow of CNBC’s “Kudlow & Co.” asked her about the possibility of becoming McCain ticket mate.
Palin replied: “[A]s for that V.P. talk all the time, I’ll tell you, I still can’t answer that question until somebody answers for me what is it exactly that the V.P. does every day? I’m used to being very productive and working real hard in an administration. We want to make sure that that V.P .slot would be a fruitful type of position, especially for Alaskans and for the things that we’re trying to accomplish up here for the rest of the U.S., before I can even start addressing that question.
