Numb’s the Word

By

The Old Farmer’s Almanac must really tick off AlGore (Dumb’s the word for him). The Almanac is predicting a colder than usual winter for much of the United States.

The almanac’s 2009 edition, which goes on sale Tuesday, says at least two-thirds of the country can expect colder than average temperatures, with only the Far West and Southeast in line for near-normal readings.

“This is going to be catastrophic for millions of people,” said almanac editor Peter Geiger, noting that the frigid forecast combined with high prices for heating fuel is sure to compound problems households will face in keeping warm.

The almanac predicts above-normal snowfall for the Great Lakes and Midwest, especially during January and February, and above-normal precipitation for the Southwest in December and for the Southeast in January and February. The Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions should be getting an unusually wet or snowy February, the almanac said.

Keep this in mind when you hear AlGore bloviating about catastrophic global warming at the convention. Better yet, skip the convention. Go shopping for an SUV, you’re going to need it.

You know, this is another topic that p@#!es me right off. T. Boone says we have an abundance of natural gas that we can use in our cars but yet National Greed… I mean National Grid has jacked the price of it just last month. I thought a big supply meant lower prices. Apparently those at National Grid and the Democratic party had 8am economic classes in college. Just another example that the inflated oil and gasoline prices were fruadulent.
