Barack Obama has spent the past two days declaring the US economy is doomed and only he can fix the financial crisis. He doesn’t get too specific, but he assures all you hard working Americans that he knows just how you feel and just what you need.
And then he jets off to Hollywood for a $28,500 per plate fundraiser with his left coast buddies. The star of the show will be none other than Babs Streisand. Wouldn’t you love to be a fly on the wall at that little shin dig? Do you think they sit around the tables, talking about how the helpless middle class in America needs Barack Obama to save us from ourselves?
Maybe they’ll spend the evening bashing Sarah Palin? That seems to be the latest fad with Hollywood celebs. You’re not A-list if you don’t one-up the latest insult hurled Palin’s way.
Regardless of the discussion at the Obama love-fest, no doubt he’ll spend the $9 million or so he raises by this time tomorrow.
If these Hollywood libs want higher taxes, why don’t they just pay higher taxes? There’s no law against that. Why force socialism on the rest of us?
I propose they take all the money they give to Democratic candidates and send it to the federal government to shore up our entitlement programs. That way they can go back to entertaining and Barack Obama can go back to Chicago – to distribute their money to his community organizations.

Lindsay Lohan, Matt Damon, Chevy Chase.
These people agree with Barack Obama’s policies. Can you think of a better reason to vote for John McCain?

Its not that they want to pay higher taxes, its that they want everyone else to pay higher taxes. Them paying higher taxes is simply a small sacrifice to screw everyone else.

Challenge : name one presidential candidate you will be able to vote for apart from Obama or McCain. Can you? Why does everyone think that if Obama is bashed they are pro McCain? Both are going to run the country into the ground.

Wow you’re uninformed—
Obama’s tax raises are only to reverse the Bush tax cuts. That means the only people who will be paying higher taxes are the richest 5% of Americans. So working class and middle class people will be paying less taxes. McCain, who doesn’t believe we’re in a financial crisis, plans to stay the course and make our economy sink further down the shitter while making his rich friends richer.
Also with Palin on the Republican ticket they can call themselves “Airheads for the Presidency.” She is complete a moron who seems like she’s only on the ticket because she maybe won a contest and she’s a bigger social reactionary than McCain. Furthermore she has no knowledge of Foreign Policy or National Economy, and if Gramps McCain keels over, we would be royally screwed to have her in office

It seems to me that the lonely conservative needs to educate him or herself on Senator Obama and his policies and his views so that he or she might become an educated citizen and voter. Mr. Obama’s plan will actually reduce taxes for over 95% of all Americans. Those who are not millionaires or billionaires that is. He has certainly not declared the U.S. economy as doomed but he has voiced real concern over the lack of oversight and regulation of unbridled industries that through mismanagement jeopardize all of our investments and retirement plans and hence our futures. It’s also not a fad to bash Sarah Palin but it is responsible civics to properly vet a candidate who aspires to the second and possibly highest elected office in the land.

How do you “lower taxes” on the 40% of Americans who don’t pay any taxes??? And who do you think creates jobs? Who are the employers? It’s the 5% Obama wants to tax more. Why didn’t your side vet your own candidate, you know, the completely inexperienced one at the TOP of your ticket?

Hmm. So let me see if I understand this argument.
The more money you make, the more you have to invest in new companies (or your existing ones.) and add workers.
Therefore, reducing taxes will put more money in the pockets of people who will automatically use it to create more jobs. Ok I kinda understand that.
So riddle me this batgirl.
Politico’s analysis of the McCain records found that five of the eight properties were purchased between the summer of 2004 and this February, for a total of $11 million. And the analysis found that the McCains hired additional household help in 2007.
So in 2004 John McCain had 11 million in extra cash. Did he use that money to create a high tech startup? Perhaps something he might understand like typewriter repair? Or did he buy a house. Then another one. Then another one. Then another one. Then another one. I guess the house hold help does count for new jobs. Dusting is a skill that can take you far in life. Are these the types of jobs that your man is talking about generating?
Let me clue you in on something from someone who has started 3 businesses. Self financed. Tax policy does not determine how many jobs a company will create. There’s lots of other things that determine whether a company will expand or not. Like having a product or service to sell. A successful marketing campaign. Taxes are simply one expense, like say, health care benefits, that impact the decision to hire someone. Perhaps you should take a business class or read An idiot’s guide to starting a business. There’s lots of pictures in that one.

Hey Bob, John McCain didn’t have all that cash and he didn’t buy all those properties. His wife did and they have a pre-nup. She also employs quite a few people. Anyone can “start 3 businesses”, my 7 year old had a lemonade stand. If you were such a success you wouldn’t be lurking on my website leaving nasty comments.
The only reason your comment (and those of your buddies above) are still up here is to expose the nastiness of those on your side. And feel free to send 80% of any profit you may make to the federal government, just leave the rest out of your rotten little utopia.
