That’s right. It began as 3 pages. After a week in Congress it’s up to 102 pages and growing. Like I said, Congress should just go home.

Are there really people who think that the current economic crisis is going to be whipped into shape by a plan that’s three pages long? We’re talking about bail-out plans with ramifications that will impact our nation in legal, trade, infrastructure, military, security, and both domestic and international affairs for years to come.

A document describing the 2009 budget and planning goals for an average American family would be longer than three pages, if the family has any sense. Come on. Let’s try to think like adults.

I’m a flip flopper, I was for the plan before I was against it. Last week I checked my IRA and saw that I lost 20% of my life savings. I felt like I got punched in the gut and thought if this works and will eventually bring more money into the Treasury then go for it. Then Congress got involved. I read today that the Democrats wanted to include a provision that they would build low income houses on top of all the other spending.

    No thanks.
