We keep hearing that this election is the election about change. Wasn’t that what we heard in 2006, when controll of both houses of Congress was taken over by the Democrats? Do you recall the price of gas in 2006? It wasn’t hovering around $4.00 a gallon, that’s for sure. Do you remember the Democrats promising to bring down the price of gasoline? Instead, they’ve done everything possible to stand in the way of energy indepenence.
Another thing to keep in mind is that George W. Bush is not running for anything. When the next Congress convenes George Bush will be home in Texas, planning his library. He’s out, so why vote against him?
Dan Maffei’s been hanging around Washington for years, watching and learning from the Democrat establishment. In fact, he’s raised millions of dollars from DC Democrats. Do you think he isn’t going to be beholden to those very people if he’s elected? Do you believe he will take a stand against his party to do what’s in the best interests of the country?
Maffei talks about running for Congress to improve the lives of people in Upstate NY. If that’s true, where’s he been the past 20 years? Why didn’t he come home and run for local or state office? I believe he had another agenda – the political career of Dan Maffei.
The Republican party has done little to help Dale Sweetland. They figure the Democrats are spending so much money on Dan Maffei that it’s a losing battle. Sweetland won’t owe anything to anyone. He may as well be running as an Independent. And unlike Dan Maffei, Dale Sweetland has been here in Central New York all along. He’s actually been doing what Dan Maffei only talks about.
