There, it’s on the record. I still like George W. Bush. So shoot me (please don’t take that literally.)
During his address to the Republican National Convention I couldn’t help but smile. Sure, there are things he’s done that I haven’t agreed with, but he’s kept us safe. He’s made unpopular decisions and stood his ground. Yet his approval rating is still about three times the approval rating of Congress, so he must be doing something right.
Laura Bush’s introduction tonight was fantastic, she was as gracious as ever. The President pointed out how John McCain puts service above self, noting that if the Hanoi HIlton couldn’t break the Senator then certainly neither can the angry left!
Most importantly, President Bush has not forgotten the lessons of September 11, 2001 and for that I am grateful. Neither has John McCain. The left wishes we would all forget, but we won’t.
