Oprah Winfrey will not interview Sarah Palin on her show prior to the November election. According to her statement:
There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show. At the beginning of this Presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates.
Let’s get this straight, Oprah Winfrey introduced little known Barack Obama to millions of her viewers. For the first time ever she endorsed a political candidate and then barred any other candidates from appearing on her show.
Oprah’s viewers are women. Without those women Oprah would be a nobody and her endorsement of Barack Obama wouldn’t mean squat. Her viewers are asking her to interview Sarah Palin. She refuses. She is telling the women that made her wealthy beyond anyone’s wildest dreams that she doesn’t care what they want.
Wow, that’s gratitude.
I usually arrive home from wotk just as the Oprah show is finishing up. My wife happened to have her show on (which on occasion if she is will do). I’ve noticed how she has become very “high on her horse”. Oprah’s not the person she used to be. Apparently she thinks she is now entitled some how on how best for us to run our lives. Her stunt with Barry is the perfect example. She doesn’t want to taint her guidance with a better person.

I gave up on her years ago. One of the last shows I watched of hers she had the America hating Michael Moore on. That was enough for me.

Looks like Oprah is just another partisan media hack. She’s going lose a chunk of her audience over this, but I’m sure she doesn’t care.
