“Tax the Rich” – a plan we can all agree upon

September 18, 2008
By

Matt Towery finds it ironic that Warren Buffett and Bill Gates support Barack Obama, who wants to increase their taxes. In his piece A Very UnAmerican Answer to Solving Our Financial Woes he describes a “soak the rich” tax plan that a lot of middle class conservatives could get behind. He points out how Bill Gates...

Obama’s confusing tax plan

September 18, 2008
By

I’m more confused by Barack Obama’s tax plan than ever. He says he will lower taxes on 95% of Americans. But about 40% of Americans don’t pay federal income tax. That means when he raises the tax on the top 5% he’ll simply give the money to the 40% who pay no income tax...

Obama resorts to inciting violence!

September 18, 2008
By

What would you do if someone invaded your personal space and started yelling at you? Would you feel threatened? Do you think you may feel the need to physically defend yourself? I certainly would. Don’t Barack Obama’s earlier statements really make you question his judgment? Tweetvaso link

What will you do when Atlas Shrugs?

September 17, 2008
By

Should Barack Obama ascend to the presidency in January, with a mandate (in his mind) to change America, what will he do? His first order of business will be to nationalize health care. Of course it will cost more than his advisers projected. Payments to medical providers will be reduced. Medical practitioners will either...

Confused about the financial crisis?

September 17, 2008
By

Derivatives, sub-prime mortgages, mortgaged backed securities….it’s enough to make anyone’s head spin. Even the experts are sounding confused. Terry over at American Sentinel has posted a Layman’s Guide to what’s happening in the financial sector. Check it out, it may help clear things up. Tweetvaso link

He’s calling George Bush AWOL!?!?

September 17, 2008
By

In Politico’s Arena, Leon Panetta called George Bush AWOL on the economy. These Democrats have such short memories. Who was AWOL in 2003 when President Bush called on Congress to pass legislation to better oversee the dealings of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? Who was AWOL in 2006 when Senator McCain gave a speech...

You call that an energy bill?

September 17, 2008
By

Leave it to the Democrats to pass a fake energy bill, late at night, after a tumultuous day on Wall Street to avoid scrutiny by the press. (Not that they would get any.) Rep. Tim Walberg’s office described the bill quite well. “Late Monday night, under the guise of darkness, Speaker Pelosi and her...

McCain picks up endorsment from Hillary supporter

September 17, 2008
By

Lynn Forester de Rothschild who was one of Hillary Clinton’s biggest campaign fundraisers, is endorsing John McCain for President over Barack Obama. Interestingly, Ms. Forester de Rothschild has built a multi-million dollar company and is married to an international banker. Apparently she trusts John McCain more on the economy than Barack Obama. Read Fox News story....

Congratulations Taxpayer-You just bought a failing insurance company

September 16, 2008
By

The Federal Reserve has announced they will “loan” AIG $85 Billion in exchange for an 80% stake in the company. Read story. I suppose we should congratulate the Democrats. Their dreams of government control of the economy are coming to fruition, thanks to their diligent efforts at destroying America’s financial institutions. Tweetvaso link

More proof the lying Democrats caused the financial mess

September 16, 2008
By

Politics and the Fannie Mae Piggy Bank by Byron York on National Review Republicans were the only ones trying to do anything about Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, but you won’t hear that from the press and you certainly won’t hear it from Obama. I just wonder why we aren’t hearing about it from...

Proof of the Democrats’ deception on the economy

September 16, 2008
By

Democrats charge that the policies of George Bush in particular and Republicans in general are the direct cause of our current economic problems. They are flat out lying through their teeth! Thanks to the Mark Levin Show, I found out about this NY Times article dated September 11, 2003. The Bush administration today recommended the...

After bashing capitalism Obama heads to Hollywood

September 16, 2008
By

Barack Obama has spent the past two days declaring the US economy is doomed and only he can fix the financial crisis. He doesn’t get too specific, but he assures all you hard working Americans that he knows just how you feel and just what you need. And then he jets off to Hollywood for a...

Barack and the Traveling Teleprompter

September 16, 2008
By

What’s more strange than Barack Obama in the middle of a rodeo? It would have to be a teleprompter in the middle of a rodeo. It seems the Obama camp has finally realized that the public is less than impressed with Obama when he isn’t reciting a prepared speech. They’ve thrown tradition to the...

A tale of two cities

September 15, 2008
By

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said New York City is well positioned to weather the economic storm caused by the Lehman Brother’s bankruptcy. It isn’t that he doesn’t recognize the challenges that lay ahead, but he understands the way the economy works. Earlier today, Obama’s campaign attacked John McCain for saying that the...
