I certainly had no intention of smearing women who don’t work outside the home. There are times I wish I could be home full time and not have to work. It’s not up to Schlussel or anyone else to judge a woman for having a career. That certainly doesn’t mean I’m drinking feminist Kool Aid. Try being raised by a depressed woman and then come back to me. You sound just like Schlusssel.

And now I’m going to take my kids back to our pool that my job helped pay for.

Debbie Schlussel is certainly the right’s answer to a barking moon bat, however, your above paragraph tells me you’ve been drinking the feminist kool aid by the gallon. Geez, did you paraphrase Friedan? What kind of mother is depressed taking care of her own damn family (note, that’s work too)?! Try working at a meaningless job, away from your loved ones, because feminists have robbed women of the right to stay home, and men feel entitled to farm out their own wives now- that is depressing. Who says “what” a woman has “to offer” is squandered on her own family, rather than a boss? A man working outside the home and a woman within is a fair trade and not “dependency.”

Debbie Schlussel’s problem is that she’s severely emotionally unbalanced, petty, and hates everything. She gets a perverse sense of self-worth by smearing others, and even sets her sights on conservatives when she runs out of targets. But tell me how you’re conservative after your smear (albeit unintentional) on traditional women?

I listen to Mike Church every day en route from my office to my home office. I really like his show, he’s great. Every Friday at about 11 AM she’s on doing movie reviews. It’s my least favorite day of the week for his show, but I listen, mainly because I don’t really watch many movies, so at least I will feel less out of it. I never visited her blog before, never heard of her before getting Sirius radio. All I can say is, she certainly doesn’t speak for me. Before hearing her I never really felt like I was part of any “mommy war”.

Some people were just meant not to share thier ideas and she’s one of them. The only thing Schlussel would be good for is an alien deterrent. Aliens fly by in thier UFO, they see her and decide that there is no intelligent life on this planet and they move on. World saved. That’s about the extent of her usefulness.
