Joe the Plumber and Sarah Palin have a lot in commom – with most Americans

Although they hail from thousands of miles apart and their paths have taken considerably different turns, Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher and Sarah Palin have much in common.

They are both middle class, hard working Americans. Sarah Palin decided to join the PTA to make a difference in her children’s education. As they say, from there it was history. She went on to become mayor, governor and possibly the next Vice President of the United States of America (God willing).

Joe the plumber is, well, just your average Joe. He’s a single dad who works hard to provide for himself and his son. He’s not asking the government for a hand out or a hand up, all he’s looking for is the chance to not only succeed, but to enjoy his success.

Sarah and Joe are both middle class Americans. Neither has an ivy league education. They have common sense, are plain spoken and millions of Americans relate to them. In fact, they make a lot of us want to stand up and cheer.

The sad thing is, the media and the left want to destroy them. They’ve spent more time trying to dig up dirt on Sarah and Joe in two months and one week, respectively, than they’ve done to look into Barack Obama’s past in two years. It is absolutely amazing, even stunning.

Joe and Sarah have endured smears, rumors and lies told about them by the left. For Joe, it’s because he simply asked a question of a candidate who showed up near his house. For Sarah, it’s due to the fact that her charisma, charm and downright normalcy energized the Republican base. Apparently, those things are now considered treasonous by the left in America.

Sarah and Joe frighten the media and the left wing. Sarah and Joe resonate with the American people. We need more politicians and out-spoken citizens who speak like the rest of us and understand that we need less government. We need lower taxes. Young, able bodied Americans should never be reliant on government.

The majority of us have been through rough times and guess what!?! We find a way to make it through. Like Joe and Sarah, we work harder, scrimp a little and sometimes rely on family to help us along. When it comes right down to it, Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher and Sarah Palin have a lot in common with the majority of Americans. No wonder the left hold them in such contempt.

John McCain thanked Joe Wurzelbacher. He asked Joe Wurzelbacher why he didn’t call when the Constitution was attacked. Joe Wurzelbacher said he had a long night and was flying to New York that evening for a sit-down interview with Mike Huckabee on Pravda. They then began kissing.
