According to the polls Americans trust Barack Obama more than John McCain when it comes to the economy. For the life of me, I can’t understand why. This is the man who came out and said his plans to raise taxes on the rich would be bad for the economy. Talk about selective listening.
The current economic crisis is not limited to the United States. If you’ve seen the news over the past few days you know this is a global financial crisis. The troubles are felt from Russia to Europe to South America and everywhere in between.
Liberal ideology isn’t sparing anyone from the pain. I suspect that as the price of oil drops, the economies of places like Russia, Iran and Venezuela will continue to decline.
The Pope recently warned that the world economy is built on sand.
He was referring to Jesus’s words in Matthew Chapter 7, beginning “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”
Jesus adds: “Whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock …but everyone that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand.”
At this time the world markets are making a much needed correction. Things will not turn around over night. Putting faith in a false prophet will do nothing to change that, with the exception of making things worse.
I truly believe that is has nothing to do with John McCain, but rather the fact that he is a republican. A republican holds the highest office in the country, so it’s guilt by association. Nevermind that the majority of the house and senate are democrats and they’ve had 2 years to do something good for the country. Instead, they have divided our country and turned us against one another. There are no repercussions for their actions – they feel they are above it all. But rather than toss them, people would rather toss the President. I am so tired of hearing that this is all Bush’s fault. Democrats are not to be blamed! Really???!!!???
I cannot imagine what our country will become if Obama is elected as our President.
