American Interests has an interesting look at how the seeds of socialism have been sown here in America. It happened quite some time ago. It’s no wonder they had to destroy Joseph McCarthy. Is it too late to wipe it out?
In the 1920s, Vladimir Lenin charged a select group of communist espionage officers with a long-term covert influence project: undermine the culture, society, and economy of the United States.
Their goal was to weaken America in preparation for a socialist revolution. The communists targeted the three transmission belts of American culture: academia, the media, and Hollywood. Recent research reveals the unbelievable extent of their success.
Just how far have they come? Today we see the results in Obama’s campaign talking points, the media’s assistance, and Hollywood and academia’s slavish toeing of the party line. Read the full article.

As our lord and savior said…”it is done”, and sadly, yes we are. The country we currently inhabit and what we will leave to our children and theres, is a shadow of itself, and probably not worth saving.

Interesting article. Most of it historical and open to debate. The premise that the media, academia and Hollywood are the “transmission belts” of American thought and action (a telling metaphor – any in-touch writer would use the internet as a motivating metaphor) doesn’t stand even the briefest scrutiny. The media, usually meaning TV, has been greatly superceded by the internet and its internationalist do-it-yourself style of information overload. To the vast majority of Americans, academia hardly means more than the names of the colleges where their favorite football teams come from. In the past students scoffed at rightwing professors and forgot them the minute they got their diplomas. Today’s students scoff at the faded hippies and dried up old radicals who are their professors today. As for Hollywood, that community started by escapees from the revolutions overseas, its movies entertain people who spend the majority of their time happily working and prospering in the cash-driven American real world. Take your choice. Either be depressed by the scribblings of unhappy old men or look at the world around you and say ‘God bless American capitalism and democracy.’

BY THE WAY, THIS ELECTION IS PROVING ANOTHER ONE OF LENIN’S PREDICTIONS; IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO GO TO WAR AGAINST AMERICA. WHEN IT ROTS ENOUGH FROM THE INSIDE, IT WILL “FALL INTO OUR HANDS LIKE AN OVER-RIPE PLUM”

Hey Zorro — or should I say ZORRO? — I’m over here. Why are you addressing some phantom reader rather than addressing me? If you can actually refute even a single statement of mine, why don’t you do it?
