We’ve received quite a few comments from people who really believe that wealth re-distribution and government takeover of the economy is a good thing. For the life of me I will never understand why. I do research, trying to find places where socialists have gained control and I only find misery.
And calling yourself a capitalist while spouting socialist rhetoric doesn’t make you any less of a socialist. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks-it’s probably a duck.
What is so great about food rationing? The last time I went to the grocery store the shelves were full. I was able to purchase everything on my list. We already give food stamps and WIC to people in America who can’t afford food. What more must we do?
You want the government to take control of the oil industry? In Venezuela, after Chavez nationalized their oil industry oil production dropped by 25%, and their selling oil to their friends below market value. How is that good for their economy? They now have the national oil company growing food because price controls caused food shortages.
Do you want the government deciding whether or not you are worthy of medical treatment? I don’t! But that’s what we’ll get with nationalized health care. Do you prefer the soft socialism like they have in Europe? That’s not working out so well.
A recent commenter on this blog gave a warning to all of you people asking for socialism. Did you read it? Did you heed the warning?
Good bye and good luck – and take this from an Eastern European who knows more about left-wing savage dictatorships initially emerging as “change/hope & power to the people” – all communist Eastern European dictators (score= 30 millions plus politically motivated murders), began their career as… humanistic community organizers, with no exception.
Good bye and good luck – Loubianka has established itself in Chicago and its branches are flourishing across the USA in the offices of the Democrat Party.
Go read your history books people! The free market has brought more prosperity to more people than anything else in history. There’s a reason people say “Watch what you wish for.”

I’m glad I’m not in favor of food rationing or nationalized anything. Capitalism wins. Democracy wins. I knew it by theory before traveling abroad. And when I got back from abroad, I knew it from experience.
And, by the way, I’m glad I’m not a Republican.

Great comeback.
Go back over anything I’ve posted and show me a socialist statement.
If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck it’s a Republican housewife. If it looks like a duck, it’s her husband.
