Democrat Hypocrisy

The Democrats plan to investigate George W. Bush after he leaves office. Read story. It’s almost laughable after their recent declarations about a new age of bi-partisanship.

Gee, I wonder if they will investigate their role in the collapse of the mortgage industry or Chuck Schumer’s role in causing a bank to fail or Harry Reid’s big mouth causing a steep decline in the stocks of the insurance industry. Now that would be bi-partisan!

It’s almost funny. I read the title “Democrat Hypocrisy” and I honestly I could not have guessed which part of their hypocrisy you might be writing about this time. There’s just so much.

Is there some kind of secret conservative rule that you guys never read anything, not even the things you post? Half way down the story, I read this:

““If crimes have been committed, they should be investigated,” Mr. Obama said, but added, “I would not want my first term consumed by what was perceived on the part of Republicans as a partisan witch hunt, because I think we’ve got too many problems we’ve got to solve.” But even if his administration rejects the calls for investigations, Mr. Obama cannot control what the courts or Congress do.”

Obama doesn’t even WANT to go after Bush. But that’s only one issue. The fact is, there’s nothing hypocritical about following the obligation to investigate if a law has been broken or an amendment infringed. This is hard for conservatives to understand in their world where laws are winked at to protect the good old boy gang. Surprisingly, upholding the law is something you have to do. Cheney should have thought of this before coaxing the busher to put his name on all the anti bill of rights, anti geneva convention stuff. Oh well, this is what happens when your VP is a guy whose first impulse after shooting a pal in the face is to go out to dinner.

Andrew, I find it amusing that you find words I didn’t write. Did I write that Barack Obama wants to go after Bush?
