It’s never too soon to learn. The pundits and the media are digging for more dirt about the past campaign, and starting the speculation about 2012 to feed their insatiable habit for self aggrandizement. We can get a head start on the process by staying informed. The best bet for a good outcome is a well informed base.
So to help you out I’ve put together a little reference page. Of course we’ll always need to round up the usual subjects. After all, it’s all about who can raise the money and the name recognition is the draw for that. I have no doubts that every Republican will remember the lie Obama told the nation about funding.
We have seen some very encouraging future stars rising in our ranks this year. Some are so promising that the left leaning media and the DNC have already started making pre-emptive attacks on their character, their records, and their personal lives. That’s the way it’s going to be from now on. Character assassination worked for them this time and they are going to keep pouring it on. We can hope for a little equity from the ACLU and other rights groups, but I wouldn’t count on it.
Here are some of the next wave. I invite you to check them out, keep an eye on them, and support them with their development and progression. I’d also recommend keeping an eye on the competition. Time to change that links page from press and blog spots to sites like Govtrack.us to watch who is doing what to whom. Don’t get caught up in the past or dwell on the present. Prepare for the future, it’s brighter than you think.

We need someone like Raegan, Uncompromising on principles and able to get Democrats to this side of the aisle.
I liked McCain, I supported McCain b/c he was a hero and b/c he was a compromiser, but essentially he was liberal lite and ended up losing moderates, independents and Republicans… I regret that a bit, we need a real leader that can inspire, that’s willing to defend values and the country.

A majority of Republicans would like to see Sarah Palin run in 2012.

As long as we’re making a wish list, it would be nice to find someone that could carry California or New York.
After 4 years of a Senator I doubt that anyone will be happy with another Washhingtonian so look for a Governor at the top of the ticket. Sarah has a chance but she will be a walking target for the next two years just because she is the real deal. She’d need a Carl Rove in her camp starting now just to keep the wolves at bay.
There are probably several I’ve missed off the list but I’m willing to bet at least on will be on the ticket in some way. I’ve already placed my bet on who will be in Iowa in 2010 and I make a habit of never gambling.

Jindal is giving a speech in Iowa soon. I heard it the other night. Jindal and Palin (either order) would be a nice ticket!
I wonder if Palin could have Rove start working for her now, his Fox News gig appears to be part time:-)

All of these individuals’ eyes are too close together. Reference Ronald and Nancy Reagan and particularly Reagan’s horse Phred.

Tim Pawlenty lost a few points in my eyes by his performance today at the governors’ conference.
