The Bush Bash Continues

Trashing President Bush has become the new national past time. Is anyone else out there as sick of it as I am? Was he perfect? No! But he’s a decent man, he kept us safe and he’s been given no credit for anything he’s done right.

Maybe if those on the right had publicly stood up for the President over the past 8 years the Republicans wouldn’t have taken such a beating at the polls on Tuesday. They never learn.

This morning my local newspaper, the Post Standard (which I will probably cancel) has a long article about how CNY Republicans are blaming George Bush for their dismal failure.

“The once proud New York Republican Party . . . has ceased to exist as a viable political organization,” Eristoff wrote. “More than an embarrassment, the Republican Party’s self-immolation is a disservice to all New Yorkers.”

The “once proud New York Republican Party” has no one to blame but itself for its troubles. They’ve sucked since before President Bush took office and they still do. Perhaps if they acted like Republicans and not Democrats they wouldn’t be where they are today.

Take for example our outgoing Congressman Jim Walsh. The only reason he’s been in office as long as he has is that he was bringing home lots of pork. How is that acting like a Republican? They’re no better at the state and local level. They spend, spend, spend like a bunch of liberal democrats. Why go with republicans when there’s no difference between them and the democrats?

And what is their plan to rebuild the party? Our County Executive, Joanie Mahoney, signaled her lame intentions.

“it would be foolish for us as Republicans to not sit up and take notice that the country wants to move in a new direction.”

What does she mean by that? Are they planning to move even farther to the left? Why bother, just change parties!

There is no doubt in my mind the Democrats will continue to blame George Bush for everything that ever goes wrong under the sun for as long as they possibly can. They won’t investigate themselves for their role in the collapse of the economy. They’ll just blame Bush and the media will certainly let them get away with it.

Local and national Republicans would be wise to start getting partisan, “naming names” and distinguishing themselves today from the liberal Democrats. They need to get back to core conservative values. Hopefully it isn’t too late.

It would seem that the “intelligentsia” running the RNC are incapable of interpreting the “message” that has been sent by the voters. They interpret BO’s win as a sign we want more government intervention and stricter government control. (After all, that is what he has promised.) Far be it from them to realize that McCain lost because many of us voted third party because we’re sick of politics as usual. We don’t want to reach across the isle, (well, maybe to slap them upside the head) we don’t want the government to own us. It seems the longer they study it and the more, high powered scholars they consult, the farther they get from the truth. They lack common sense.Rather than hear the message we’re sending, they choose to discount us as a group of misguided misfits, unworthy of their lofty attention. Perhaps they do err.

McCain wasn’t a winner from the very start, and I’m not so sure they weren’t aware of that, and they tried to shove him up our…………. because they know what’s good for us. Well, I’m sure you get it.

Maybe if McCain had run more against Obama, and less against Bush there might have been a different result. Republicans need to clean house, get some real conservitives in leadership, and start winning again. Mc Cain and his useless gang had no message, no principle, no belief, no reason to vote for them.

ZORRO, I didn’t mean to draw us off on a tangent, but I’m tired of the blindness displayed by our “leaders”.

Concerning Mr. Bush, every hangnail and hemorrhoid in the world will be caused directly by him in one form or another if one seeks a causative explanation from any MSM source, or left of center organization. Fox may be the only exception.

We must remember that truth is relevant to them, (them being the ever so clever,”we know what’s best for you” crowd) never absolute. 2+2 is always equal to or greater than 4, or equal to or less than 4 in their eyes, never just absolutely 4. Truth seems to be an undesirable beacon to be obfuscated, and hidden with great zeal. They rely a good deal on the “yes, but” syndrome willingly ignorant and trying to convince us to be the same.
