Did you happen to read the complaint against Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich? It’s like a soap opera. This guy’s taken political corruption to a whole new level. Or has he? Is he simply someone who just happened to get caught?In summary, the Democrat from Illinois is accused of corrupt fundraising, trying to sell Barack Obama’s Senate seat to the highest bidder, threatening the Tribune Company with loss of state funding if they didn’t fire editors and engaging in pay-to-play schemes. Basically, just your typical Illinois politician, albeit one with very colorful language.
It will be interesting to see if the main stream media identifies Governor Shakedown as a Democrat or mentions his ties to President-elect Barack Obama.
