Hey comrades from New York’s 24th Congressional District. Guess what your new congressman did this week? As a show of pure partisanship he voted for the most massive spending bill ever dreamed up by the United States House of Representatives. Aren’t you proud? Like our new president, Mr. Maffei promised change and then went along with Nancy Pelosi like a sad little puppy.
Republicans aren’t the only ones that voted against the crap sandwich. They were joined by 11 courageous democrats. One of those democrats, Heath Shuler, comes from a conservative (and apparently well informed) district and had to ask Nancy Pelosi for permission to vote against the bill. Knowing she had enough votes (thanks to pansies like Dan Maffei) Madame Speaker granted his wish.
So, Central New Yorkers, I will continue to remind you from now until 2010 what your representative voted for. He voted to decrease the value of your money while lining the pockets of his political supporters. Is that the sort of change you were looking for?
