Fearing that she wouldn’t be annointed, er, appointed to Hillary Clinton’s Senate seat, Caroline Kennedy has stepped aside.

Update – Rumors surfaced on 1/22/09 that the reason Caroline Kennedy wasn’t going to be picked is because the vetting process unearthed nanny, tax and marriage problems. Whether any or all of it’s true doesn’t seem to matter anymore (except possibly to law enforcement.) She’s out of the running. My issue with her was that we didn’t really know where she stands on the issues or whether she even understands the issues. All we knew is that she’s a Kennedy and a democrat.
