Michael Steele’s first interview since being picked RNC chair

Michael Steele’s first interview after his victory in the RNC election was with Sean Hannity. Let’s get back to a two party system and define what each party stands for.

Personally, I liked hearing him mention the Northeast. There are a few conservatives left here. The Republican party seemed to forget about us and it’s nice just to have our existence acknowledged. Perhaps if they try to spread a conservative message in blue states they may turn those states purple or even red!

I hope that you are right, that he will try to go with a conservative message to get canditates up there, and not continue moving to the left, ala Charlie Crist here in Fla. I would rather have Blackwell. At least Duncan is out of there.

FYI, might want to listen to my exclusive interview with Michael Steele and comment. Thanks. JL.

And forget, please, “conservatism,” please. It will not “save” us because it has been, operationally, de facto, Godless and therefore irrelevant. Secular conservatism will not defeat secular liberalism because to God both are two atheistic peas-in-a-pod and thus predestined to failure. As Stonewall Jackson’s Chief of Staff R.L. Dabney said of such a humanistic belief more than 100 years ago:

“[Secular conservatism] is a party which never conserves anything. Its history has been that it demurs to each aggression of the progressive party, and aims to save its credit by a respectable amount of growling, but always acquiesces at last in the innovation. What was the resisted novelty of yesterday is today .one of the accepted principles of conservatism; it is now conservative only in affecting to resist the next innovation, which will tomorrow be forced upon its timidity and will be succeeded by some third revolution; to be denounced and then adopted in its turn. American conservatism is merely the shadow that follows Radicalism as it moves forward towards perdition. It remains behind it, but never retards it, and always advances near its leader. This pretended salt bath utterly lost its savor: wherewith shall it be salted? Its impotency is not hard, indeed, to explain. It is worthless because it is the conservatism of expediency only, and not of sturdy principle. It intends to risk nothing serious for the sake of the truth.”

Our country is collapsing because we have turned our back on God (Psalm 9:17) and refused to kiss His Son (Psalm 2).

What, now we go and find our own “magic Negro”?

This is a very, very sad day for America. The election of Steele proves that the Republican party will not go in the direction they need to for the sake of our country. They can expect to be in the minority for quite some time to come.

Are you a true conservative or just a kool aid drinker? If you are a true conservative then you would listen to what this other true conservative has to say about him.

    Click my name above

Steve Deace is so right about him.

He’s a RINO. On that we can be clear. This proves that the Republican Party’s move to the Left might be a permanent legacy of the Bush years.

Steele? Oh yeah, he’s the guy that believes our second amendment rights should only be infringed “a little bit”……………..The republicans STILL don’t get it.

AWM-Do you have a link to where he talks about 2nd Amendment rights? I’ve heard other people say the same thing but I haven’t seen or heard any direct quotes.

Thanks. That’s not good. As far as Steele, however….Duncan had to go. What a disaster. What’s his name from down south….the left would have been all over him for belonging to a segregated country club. I liked Ken Blackwell and Michael Steele but Blackwell didn’t seem to have a chance. Which leaves us with Steele. All I can say is that people should let Mr. Steele and the RNC know that if they don’t stand up for the 2nd Amendment they won’t have our support.

That government is best which governs the least, because its people discipline themselves.
    Thomas Jefferson

I believe that if government stepped aside, we would discipline ourselves. It might hurt for a while but doesn’t it hurt now?

i also believe John Lofton’s assessment of the cause of our failure is spot on.

You must pay the price if you wish to secure the blessing.
