I couldn’t help but think, while watching the Cheney’s leave by car, that the Bush’s are lucky to be leaving Washington, DC.

And that’s my overriding emotion on this (BLEAK!) day. I’m so thankful for everything this good man has done—much we do know about despite the media branch of government, and much we will not know for decades—but also relieved that he can finally leave everything he has had to endure for the last 8 years and go have a life somewhere. I’m so glad he is leaving it all behind, for his sake. I am so proud of him, and so grateful for his stewardship over these last 8 years. Thanks for posting that!
