Putting a damper on Obamapolooza

Obamapolooza, Barack Obama’s inauguration, was supposed to be a huge celebration of Hopeandchange. A nation coming together for a love fest like we haven’t seen since 1968. Instead it’s beginning to look like either a side show or a funeral. It’s a little too soon to tell.

Dianne Fienstein is fuming that Barack Obama didn’t mention he would nominate Leon Panetta to head the CIA. At least there’s one Democrat left in the United States that cares about our security, too bad it isn’t the President-elect.

Harry Reid and the Senate Democrat Circus blocked Roland Burris from taking his Senate seat. Their actions are unconstitutional and they know it, just proving what most of us already knew. Democrats don’t give a whit about the Constitution, never have and never will.

Al Franken claims his vote stealing worked and he will be the next Senator from Minnesota. Norm Coleman told him “not so fast” and is taking the case to court. This leaves another Senate seat empty for the time being. So much for Obama’s filibuster proof Senate, at least in the short term.

Obama is already paying back the media for the priceless assistance they gave him during the election. He’s nominated CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta for Surgeon General. It’s rumored he will nominated former Time Warner CEO Dick Parsons to the Commerce job he had offered to Bill Richardson (after Richardson had to bow out due to that pesky grand jury investigation).

Obama promised  to create 600,000 government jobs. He was a bit sketchy about what those jobs would entail. I think he made a secret promise to keep the dying media (like the NY Times who are now forced to sell ad space on their front page) employed after they’re all out of business.

Poor President elect Joe Biden. First he was denied a seat at the movies. Now his boss is sending him overseas to an undisclosed location in Asia, so he won’t even be around to help plan Obamapolooza.

But not to worry. Today Obama promised the huge deficit will last for years while crafting his plan to spend a trillion dollars ($1,000,000,000,000.00).

It’s afternoon in America!

The Democratic scandals are adding up, from Richardson to Blagojevich.
