On his radio show yesterday Rush Limbaugh responded to Barack Obama and came up with his own bipartisan stimulus plan. He also said that Obama must be more afraid of him than he is of John Boehner or Mitch McConnell. Rep. Phil Gingrey, R-GA wasn’t happy about Rush’s comments and fired back today.
I think that our leadership, Mitch McConnell and John Boehner, are taking the right approach,” Gingrey said. “I mean, it’s easy if you’re Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh or even sometimes Newt Gingrich to stand back and throw bricks. You don’t have to try to do what’s best for your people and your party. You know you’re just on these talk shows and you’re living well and plus you stir up a bit of controversy and gin the base and that sort of that thing. But when it comes to true leadership, not that these people couldn’t be or wouldn’t be good leaders, they’re not in that position of John Boehner or Mitch McConnell.”
Rush replied to Politico:
“I’m sure he is doing his best but it does not appear to be good enough. He may not have noticed that the number of Republican colleagues he has in the House has dwindled. And they will dwindle more if he and his friends don’t show more leadership and effectiveness in battling the most left-wing agenda in modern history. And they won’t continue to lose because of me, but because of their relationship with the grassroots, which is hurting. Conservatives want leadership from those who claim to represent them. And we’ll know it when we see it.”
I have to say, Rush speaks for me on this one. I’d like to see some Republicans who are willing to fight for what’s right. President Obama and the Democrats want to spend a trillion of our dollars, they want to nationalize banks, they want to put an end to the automobile industry by allowing California to dictate CAFE standards to the rest of the states. Maybe it’s time the Republican party found some new leadership. The last thing we need are cheerleaders for the President.
Video of Rush’s broadcast yesterday appears below.
Gingrey to Rush and conservatives: I’m so very sorry.

Excellent points by Rush. It seems the Republicans have become deaf. Maybe they are afraid to stand up for what they believe in or maybe they never believed it. I wonder.

Perhaps the question is WHY AREN’T Phil, John and Mitch in the position of Rush, Sean, etc, etc.? ….If any one of THEM spoke half as much truth as we get from Rush, Sean, Newt, Ann, etc., etc.,….perhaps their ‘position’ in our government might be STRONGER and actually have some teeth!!! I am so sick to death of hearing the mamby-pamby crap come out of the mouths of Republicans up on that Hill everyday…I could spit!! What a bunch of cowards! What a bunch of knuckle-unders. It’s like watching a McCain Debate again. Who do they fear? Obama or their constituents. It’s obvious…Obama.

It’s very dis-heartening, isn’t it Mary. Follow Senator Jim DeMint. He speaks for us. Not that I can vote for him, but it’s nice to know he’s there.

With the mounting job casualties, here’s hoping SCOTUS either finds someone, somewhere, has standing to require BHO’s birth certificate or fixes attention on a criminal indictment before he wins his War on Prosperity.

Rep. Gingrey is SO wrong. He and his colleagues are in a position to oppose the Dems and their Socialist war against this country. They can try to kep their constituents informed, they can speak on the floor, and start acting and talking like Republicans again, instead of another arm of the Obama machine.

Obama says his “recovery plan will include UNPRECEDENTED measures that will allow the American people to hold [his] administration ACCOUNTABLE” yet Obama refuses to be held ACCOUNTABLE to the same American people for his UNPRECEDENTED refusal to show his actual birth certificate.

Voting for OBAMA…has layed the groundwork for consequences. I hope all the liberals- news media and the like…can already see for themselves that he is focused on the civil liberties of our “feel gooders” and is not focused on the war between Isreal and the radical Islamics… Our NATIONS REAL ECONOMIC situation and creating a path to solving it. I just can’t believe what I saw yesterday on C-span with the coverage of the Economic Stimulus plan…what plan….you could tell that the Republicans were really trying to reach across the table and work out a reasonable plan with ideas from both sides…and the Democrats were not engaging in any form of collaberation…they each had their OWN PERSONAL AGENDA…it was SICKENING! I believe this is just the beginning…we are in for a RUDE AWAKING. For those OBAMANITES…you wanted CHANGE…well strap yourselves in….and welcome to COMMUNISM.

Sue… What point were you trying to make in directing people to Ariana Huffington’s webpage? Stop fishing in the dark Sue. We have much bigger fish to fry with the tripe that Obama is surrounding himself with. We don’t need to go to left-Wing sites to find out who is on our side. Thanks anyway for your input.
