Sean Hannity interviews Rush Limbaugh – Segment 2

Segment 2 was even better than Segment 1. Rush really makes some excellent points. Conservatives shouldn’t believe that Obama is turning conservative or centrist. It just isn’t true.

Hannity and Limbaugh are doing their jobs as PR men for the business-class of wealthy elites by drumming up fears of anything resembling Socialism. Socialism is the latest hobgoblin conjured up by conservatives to manipulate public opinion through fear, as they have always done. The so-called “Liberal Media” conspiracy that Hannity and O’Reilly are always referring to is another hobgoblin. It’s a tactic conservatives of the establishment use, like identifying themselves with working class people, and calling themselves “mavericks.” If they want white votes in the racist South, they drum up fear of Blacks, if they want more military spending, they drum up fear of the Soviets, if they want to go to war and take away civil rights, they drum up fear of terrorists. It’s the oldest trick in their playbook. Their aim now is to protect Capitalism, now that it is shown to have failed everyone but the rich, whose interests they represent.
Limbaugh’s statement that if Obama “does not eliminate the Bush tax cuts, I would call that a success.” and “I would hope he would succeed if he acts like Reagan” makes it crystal clear whose interests he represents. The Bush tax cuts most benefit the rich, and Reagan’s “trickle down economics” should be obvious by now to be a total disaster for everyone BUT the rich, and these are the policies that have led to the great disparity in wealth distribution we have today:
“As of 2001, the top 1% of households (the upper class) owned 33.4% of all privately held wealth, and the next 19% (the managerial, professional, and small business stratum) had 51%, which means that just 20% of the people owned a remarkable 84%, leaving only 16% of the wealth for the bottom 80% (wage and salary workers). In terms of financial wealth, the top 1% of households had an even greater share: 39.7%.” – Prof. William Domhoff, http://sociology.ucsc.edu/whorulesamerica/power/wealth.html
If you’re worried about redistribution of wealth, it’s because the propaganda and disinformation campaign of the wealthy, who dominate all major media outlets, has been successful in causing you to confuse your own interests with those of themselves – the rich CEOs of mass media networks, like Rupert Murdoch, who controls Fox News, and so also Sean Hannity (see the documentary Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch’s War on Journalism to see how much his personal opinion shapes how and what gets covered on his network).
America’s economic system has always been mixed – not purely Capitalist, not purely Socialist. Take for example the Military – your healthcare, education, and housing are all provided for by the State! What’s not Socialist about that? and why isn’t everyone else entitled to similar benefits?
I’ll tell you why – because the loyalty of someone who will kill and die on command is more valuable and expensive than that of the average wage-slave. And with American business interests dependent on the use of force in foreign countries, that loyalty is a key part of the Corporate Empire’s operating costs.
With the rich getting richer and growing more powerful over the years, their influence on government has completely overpowered that of “the People”, at a great loss to Democracy. The government has always primarily served the interests of the rich, however, and this is why I believe Capitalism is inimical to government “By, For, and Of the People”, “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness”, and “Justice for All.” In fact, I think these very ideals are most expressive of a Democratic or Libertarian Socialism.
Not only is Capitalism inherently expoitative of humans, it’s exploitative of every living thing. It lays claim to the sun, the water, the air, your body, and even the thoughts in your head, and turns them into commodities in service of Capital. No one is “born free” or has a “right to life” in a capitalist system, because everything required for life is already the private property of someone else! …and they call this “the Land of the Free”! Where everyone must make themselves “marketable” and find someone to sell the hours of their life to, because the alternative is starvation, or imprisonment! “You’d better learn to love money, and be willing to jump through flaming hoops to get it, because the wealthy and propertied make the rules, and there’s no free rides here… even the animals! If you don’t serve some marketable purpose, you’re roadkill!” Everyone must find their place in the great machine, or be crushed under its wheels.
Capitalism is dependent on Slavery. Look at the history of the Labor Movement – the Capitalist Way was to pay the workers as little as possible, work them as long and as hard as they would go (in factories that would maim and poison them), and when they dared to strike and demand fair treatment, the police and military were sent in to beat them, shoot them, and/or lock them up in jail. It was only when the movement grew so strong (at the loss of many lives) that it threatened the foundations of the capitalist system, and reforms were introduced – like the minimum wage, the 8-hour day, sick days, weekends, holidays off, etc. – to save Capitalism.
The Great Depression, the greatest example of Capitalism’s inherent flaws, was another time when great reforms were introduced in order to stabilise the system. Those reforms (and as Rush pointed out – WWII – because capitalist profiteers know that war is good for the economy) – saved Capitalism.
Now Obama is here, hailed as a modern day FDR, to save Capitalism all over again. The miserly conservatives who don’t want to share any of their outrageous wealth complain of Socialism, but really, there’s no need to fear. He’s only here to restore the balance, to make the majority comfortable enough again to stave off popular rebellion and save the death of capitalism for another day. I think this is the real reason people praise Obama so blindly – because the hope he inspires is the hope of postponing the chaos of a revolution, or the dystopia of corporate-christian fascism foreshadowed by the Bush-ites. But capitalism will fail, eventually, and personally I hope it is sooner rather than later.

My goodness, Bean! How in the name of God can you stand it waking up everyday living in America? The oppression and coercion in your life must be an overwhelming and crushing burden to you.

You sound like an educated person. I’m surprised I didn’t read anything in your post about how you got that education. I bet it must have taken years and years of dedication and hardwork. I just find it odd that you can’t appreciate the years and years of hardwork and dedication that the top 20% of wealthholders in this country accomplished in order to be counted in that group. I also find it odd that you not only begrudge them the wealth, but you also support the bottom 80% for not doing the same. When in fact, it is the efforts of the top 20% that pays for 95% of what the bottom 80% enjoy. Infrastructure, the greatest military on earth and by far the happiest people on the planet. Last time I looked that bottom 80% have exactly the same opportunity in this country to achieve the same things as the top 20%…if in fact they wanted it. By your reasoning, the top 20% should not only give up all the fruits of their labor, but that the government should then decide how to spend it for the bottom 80%. It is not surprising to me that government often looks after the interests of the wealthbuilders in this country….THEY ARE THE MEALTICKET for those who do not build wealth!

Now, I know your numbers sound impressive, and yes, they shock, but not surprisingly you offer no statistics for how many of the bottom 80% are living exactly the kind of life they want. Farmers, teachers, secretaries, grocery clerks. Why do you make the assumption that our Capitalist system is so horrible for the country, when it allows for people to choose the profession they want, and go after it wholeheartedly. To make a huge success for themselves, or just to be happy doing what they enjoy. Only a person, like yourself, will look at our great nation and claim “…one must make themselves “marketable” and find someone to sell the hours of their life to, because the alternative is starvation, or imprisonment!” Good God, man…. whatever happened to you as a child that you could carry around such a pessimistic and defeated attitude? And, where the hell is this prison where they put people who do not work for a living? Where are the dead who have starved from being crushed under the wheels of the machine? I’ll tell you…. the non-working are on welfare, and the starving are in churches and shelters. Now, there’s a machine I’m sure you can support. Welfare and Charity. I do believe that is exactly where you would like to see that 80% of America…only because your preferred system of government would RUN IT! It’s all about control for you Bean, isn’t it? But you also seem to forget the bulk of charity in this country comes from conservatives, not liberal socialists.

As far as Obama being welcomed by this country, you are wrong there, too. You like to blame Rush, Sean and O’Reilly or Rupert Murdoch for creating ‘hobgoblins’ for America to fear. Well, your argument defeats itself. If these conservatives were as entrenched in the media as far-left radical, socialists like yourself…we would’ve won the election. However, the ‘machine of fear’ is fully up and running with MSNBC, CNN, ABC, etc. and it’s propoganda swayed enough to make up the difference in votes needed that cheating did not get them. At least the ‘fears’ of conservatives are REAL, unlike the imagined or created fears of the left. I will retract that statement once Obama converts those fears into a reality for us all, as I am sure he will.

The only thing bad for America is pontificating fart’s like you who live their lives in the lofty mental state of envy and hatred. Not only do you subconsciously envy the rest of America, you don’t want ANY of us to succeed, either. Well, Bean, don’t let the door hit you in the ass on your way out.

Well, you know that both capitalism and the government can be abusive. The trick is to walk the narrow line between the two.
Go to exteme laizze faire capitalism and you get children working in sweat shops for slave wages. This was prevalent at the dawn of the Industrial Revolution.
Go too far to the Left and you overburdon the people with taxes to pay for gold-bricking government employees who receive $100,000 per year to goof off when their job items are not even needed (our administration heavy public education system is a perfect example), You also overburdon employers with overpaid union workers (Prison guards in California make $80,000 per year plus). Here in California, we have much more danger from the Left than the Right.
In my opinion, government should stay out of the private sector as far as competition but maintain a strong regulatary presence. That way you get the best of both and minimize the worst abuses.

Bean, Something you may not have taken into account is that HARD WORK SHOULD PAY OFF! I see no reason to punish business owners for their successes and to reward the poor for having no drive to do anything but sit around and wait for their welfare checks. I am by no means a rich person but I am employed by a company that if punished for how much they are making would cut jobs and I would be just another person sitting in line for a check I didnt work for. Our Government has overstepped and milked the people for all it could. Im sorry to say but creating a welfare state thats is dependant on government is not the answer. Our government has us right where they want us. We have to many depending on them. Not only that the last depression, if you ask around, whole families were starting gardens and canning food to get the most for their money. When was the last time you saw a garden in the ghetto? People who dont mind working get to save a little by doing a little and pulling their own weight. You have mothers out there having child after child because if they have enough kids from different fathers not only do they get all their child support and not have to work they can also get welfare on top of that! MANIPULATION OF OUR SYSTEM! This lavish lifestyle that our political figures live is outlandish and we have no say in what they do with our money. They have dinners buy expensive things for themselves and loose laptops and cameras all the time that are bought by you and me. I saw a report somewhere explaining that our government spent in the range of 2 million in replacing laptops and cameras that had been misplaced! Thats crazy when you think we put the security of our country in these peoples hands and these types of things happen that offten.

I just have to say. I am glad to see that there are a few people in this country that still know what our forefathers wanted when they started to put this country together and what OUR BOYS AND GIRLS HAVE DIED to protect. I am so glad their are others like me cause at times I feel like a lonely conservative. Times in America are getting rougher. Our childern are being taught socialistic ideas and are being told that its the only way. Obama supporters thought they were just going to be givin freebies for doing nothing. The Idea of working hard for a good life has been lost. People now croud into government offices with their hands out wanting something that they could have worked for but depend on others that do work hard to provide it for them and call it wealth redistribution…..People dont understand sink or swim anymore. Its more like If I dont feel like working this month someone will flip the bill for me kind of attitude. We have more duty to feed and medicate our elderly who have fought for us or built america to its current condition than we do to laggers, beggers, and swindelers. Education is another expense we cannot afford to cut on so that someone who refused education, work and overall effort do do something for themselves can live another day as a high class bum. SUPPORTING THE LAZY HAS GOT TO BE STOPPED! Inform these people getting welfare that they do need to get an education and contribute to this country rather than milking it. Inform them to garden and produce things that will grow in their areas to support themselves in place of just handing them money to buy it off a shelf complements of that hard working taxpayer. Those should be the issues our government works on. Not where to spend money we dont have but how to reduce the amount it cost to get people off their feet. This economy is being brought to its knees by our lavish govenrment events, irresposibility, and failure to recognize or admit failure in policy or law. Rewarding the lazy and punishing the people working hard to creat a business or work for a living. All these layoffs are because of these people. Government and the lazy! People are losing jobs because others dont want to work and the government calls it redistribution! How long will we tolerate this? I realize that there are those that have no choice now but to use these programs at no fault of their own or a disability. Im not talking about you people. Your doing what you can and you have been givin the worst cards in live. God bless you for your efforts. Those that are lazy, irresponsible, and looking for a hand out……… Find another counrty to live in and stop destroying mine!

I want to be more like Rush, Hannity, Glenn Beck and Mark lavin and reach out to like minded people and educate others on a bigger scale…. Trust me. Everyone around me sees whats really happening now because I have talked to them and turned them around. Our people have been fed false hopes and dreams and the government targets the uneducated and the poor to carry out an all out government invasion of OUR country.

I say we should all put handmade signs in the windows of our cars….”RUSH LIMBAUGH in 2012 !!!” Unless we are too afraid (?)

To quote Claire Danes character of Beth in “Little Women” (1994 version)

“…Now I am the one going ahead. I am not afraid.”

Unfortunately, that is just before she dies in the scene. But the moment was pivotal because it was only through the death of the character of Beth that “Jo” (Louisa May Alcott) was able to write the novel “Little Women”.

OK, call me a romantic, but the point still stands. I will not fear the reprisals of treading where no man seems to want to tread…if I can further the cause of conservatism.

Heck…I had a sign in the back window of my paid-for SUV that read “Dave Ramsey For President 2008!” from Jan-Aug of 2008. Hopefully that was one of the reasons people started paying off their debt and denying banks their interest income….and stopped running up new credit!! But, you all can see what happened… the banks crashed a month later!! Sorry!! Just think what could happen if we did the Rush sign-thing (?) Oooohh…success at last? Just havin’ some fun and gettin’ a Rush!

Well, I wouldn’t be affraid to put that sign in my window! Hannity was thinking about running. I already have a big bumpersticker on my big Ford F-150 supercrew that says “ANNOY A LIBERAL! WORK * SUCCEED * BE HAPPY!” Im 30 years old and have NEVER been given a thing. I was taught if you want anything in life you could wait for it but it will never come so hard work pays off! I have 4 kids all growing up off of hard work from both their parents and no government help. I was sad the hear that they talked about who they wanted for president at school and at that early of an age they all wanted obama because of what they had been told in class! They are 10 through 7 and a 2 month old.

Anyway, I have been thinking about trying to call ole Rush on the radio so if you have the signs made up let me know! I’ll BUY some! Better yet maybe i’ll look into making some.

I just want to say how excited I am to see that before Obama’s little reign in office even gets started his cabinet is falling apart due to AMERICANS that don’t pay their taxes and people that voted for him are wondering where all their free stuff is! HA HA HA I don’t feel sorry for them. Next time be a little more educated and informed before you go to the polls and don’t vote based on race or sex! And Obama clearly has no idea the quality of the people he has chosen to help him run the country. I’m still waiting to see William Ayers for senate Signs. I’m rather surprised he didn’t take Obama’s Place!

Ole Hannity today said that Obama’s approval rating has already dropped 20%!!!!! That in itself has me wanting to jog around the block waiving an American flag! I think we should dismantle federal government all together and have the states handle their own. THAT way republicans can run their republican states the way they want and the demoBRATS can run their states the way they like. Granted before long republican states would become over populated when the demoCRAPS stats become bank rupt and nobody but the government officals have money, a place to live, or food to feed their familys. IM ALL FOR IT! That would educate our political people on what really works and our general working (and non working) class people of how to keep our country healthy! No more spending money paying these idiots to argue over policy. No more overpowering the states who have a firm stance on what they think should be done. Granted those in a demoSPLAT who are republican would have to move but that could be the smaller price to pay than where we are going.

William and Karen…. You know, alot of our talk lately reminds me of an era in our country’s history that some would like to remember and some would like to forget. It was called the “Civil War’. God help us defend ourselves from thieves and beggars!! They come amongst us as wolves in sheep’s clothing. I could care less for the color of a man’s skin…but sure as sh*t care what I see in his character. And these days I am not seeing a whole heck of a lot of that.

Mary – good point. With any luck after several months of the crap our federal government and The One are dishing out people will get fed up and send them packing. We’ve already weeded many RINO’s out of the Republican party (not enough if you ask me.) Should the R’s win back a Congressional majority next year hopefully some of this can be undone. Maybe some of the spending in the porkulus bill slated for 2011 and beyond could be stopped. Who knows.

William, I have no idea about your last post. I haven’t deleted anything. Usually they come through my email but my email is down right now so I can’t check it. Can you re-post?

    Back to work for me:-)

Well its back up now….. im not sure if it was a computer problem on my side or what but its up there now! It was the one where we would just all move to a republican state and let the dems have theirs.

Ok guys, I have found the ULTIMATE web site Video that explains in the most simple terms. (so any uneducated person can understand) This Video should be shown at all public schools and sites examples from history as proof of how certain types of government work and what the results are in the end. IT IS THE SCARIEST thing I have ever seen! Everyone who calls themselves an American should be required to watch this! http://www.flixxy.com/political-systems.htm

    Hi William,

I posted that video in November here. But you are correct, this is something everyone should learn. I should repost it every now and then and have my children watch it.

Hi William. I don’t have a video library, but you can use the search feature. Just above “Subscribe” is a box next to a magnifying glass. Or you can search the archives, or go to the top of the page and click on “home”. I post every day. Today I posted about how they’re going after Rush Limbaugh.
