So much for our standing in the world

We were told that the election of Barack Obama would immediately lift the United States’ standing in the world. Out with the old and in with hope, change and brotherly love for the citizen of the world. It’s too bad Al-Qaida didn’t get the message. They still hate us, and our new dear leader.

Change we can believe in.

When analyzed “change we can believe in,” is a moronic statement. Change is change, it requires no belief. Change just happens. We walk down the street trip over a crack, fall on the meter maid, who smashes her ticket book on the the hood of a car. The driver startled by the incident hits the accelarator, crashing into a bank atm which spews out $20 bills, when we pick up a few is just enough to pay this month’s electric bill. Now that’s change we can believe in.
