Nightmare on Pennsylvania Avenue

While some Americans continue to down the Obama Kool Aid, the rest of us watch in horror as this national nightmare unfolds. Many of us saw it coming but it’s still no less gruesome. Each day brings a new atrocity, such us health care rationing by our government.

Not only did they slide nationalization of our health care system into this bill, they’re also undoing the successful welfare reforms of the 1990′s. What are now temporary assistance payments to the poor will soon be open ended thanks to 5 little words: “such sums as are necessary.”

While Tim “Turbo Tax” Geithner outlined his new scheme to bail out the financial sector, the Dow plummeted 200 points. It seems this new plan isn’t so much a plan, but a plan for a plan. Soon after, the porkulus bill cleared another hurdle and the Dow dove another 200 points.

In the mean time the Liar in Chief continued his taxpayer funded campaign to sell the crap sandwich to the American public. Why is he wasting our money to campaign for something he already has the votes to pass?

Three so-called republicans in the Senate decided to sell out America. It makes one wonder what they were offered. Extra pork for their districts, perhaps?

President Obama tells us over and over again that economists all agree we need to spend trillions to avert disaster. The man who ran on the politics of hope is now peddling fear to get his way, while failing to disclose that hundreds of economists predict economic catastrophe if he prevails in this fight. 

The democrats are pulling out all the stops to ensure a democratic majority for decades to come. The damage they do to the economy will be blamed on President Bush and republicans even though it all started to unravel while democrats held the purse strings. The press isn’t doing it’s job and the American people don’t seem to care.

Folks, in the words of Vice President Joe Biden, it’s time to gird your loins. Things are going to get ugly. The Nightmare on Pennsylvania Avenue will soon turn into the Nightmare on Main Street.
