What did you think of The One’s speech last night? How about Bobby Jindal’s response?

Feel free to rant about whatever you want or leave links that are worth a read.

I found this little gem this morning. The not so amazing part is the 80% approval rating.
    I can draw a couple of conclusions from this;
    1. 80% of abc’s viewers are stuck on stupid.
    2. 80% of America is stuck on stupid.
    3. or we’re outnumbered 4 to 1
In any case, I don’t see much “change”, government is still the problem, not the answer.

    Right on AKA,
I vote for 80% are lined up at the pay window. At least they think they are. What they will learn later this year many are the payor, not the payee.

I do not have the stomach to watch the jr. admin. from IL. I mute him, even his sound bites. If I know he will be on for more than 15 seconds I change channels.

    He is not my president.

More of the same from Obama. Paltitudes, rhetoric and lies. You have to give hime points for consistency. I did find Gov. Jindal to be refreshing. It is nice to know that there are a few conservatives left in the Repiblican party. The Silent Majority

A Gallop poll the other day had him at under 60%. No better than GWB was in the polls after he took office.

Another US soldier is questioning Barack Obama’s citizenship, Constitutional legitimacy. http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=89941

I think the citizenship thing is a long, long shot in the dark….but don’t you wonder why he won’t just produce it??? Nobody is going to give him up. Later, the Left will just try to use his “service” to rewrite the Constitution to allow it anyway. Most of the time I feel like I’m in the Twilight Zone—an altered reality, where I hear him say he inherited this enormous deficit, but doesn’t acknowledge what he just contributed to that, and then says we have to learn to buck up and be responsible and quit spending so much! Like I’m the only one who can see that the Emporer has no clothes! What a weird time.

Wish I could make one of those town hall meetings and stand up on live camera and say “Sir, why do you refuse to present your birth certificate?” I’d get no answer, but it would be fun.

Twilight Zone is right. There’s a huge disconnect between the actions of the government and reality. How long until reality catches up?

As far as the citizinship….you’re right. It probably is a dead issue, but come on, why NOT just produce the document?

    Kate,

You’re correct, his ratings are close to 60% and sinking. My comment was on this particular poll and the percentage rates fluctuated throughout the day.

I still stand by my last sentence in the above comment;…”I don’t see much “change”, government is still the problem, not the answer.”…

If you look up TARP, you will see it was signed by Bush, $700B, Stimulus, signed by Obama, $787B, US House approves additional $410B.

    Government IS the problem.

AWM-I heard The One’s ABC spokesman, George Stephanopolous, talking about the poll you refer to. He was sooooo happy. I haven’t taken the time….but I’d like to see what questions were asked and who was asked. And you are correct, Government is the problem. In all fairness to Bush, though, the Democrats in Congess are just as complicit in the TARP as Bush. The One was on board also.

And we must remember that TARP was in reaction to huge banks failing all over the world, not just the U.S.—this was the moment when it blew up. You had to do SOMETHING at that moment. But like all government plans, over time the plan became something entirely different than its original intent.

There are also polls saying he’s more popular than Jesus Christ. Yeah. Right. Okay….pffffft.

    Ugh!

Adding to the big spending – today it came out that he plans to spend over $600 Billion on health care, but then we find out that’s just a down payment. I didn’t post anything on it yet because I’ve been so busy.

And what good is free health care if you can’t afford to eat? Inflation’s going to be so high people will die of starvation. Maybe that’s the plan. Less people to cover.

AWM-In comment #10 I believe I referred to the wrong poll. Stephy was referring to a recent ABC news poll showing The One’s #’s are higher than the Gallup poll Kate referred to.

I was happy to see your video of Jindal looking good. I wasn’t able to see the broadcast because I was working, but came home to see that he bombed. This worried me because I see the social conservatives getting the press, and the fiscal conservatives being ignored. I got onto the treasury website and saw that our national debt has NEVER gone down, and wondered (quietly to myself) that although the rest of the world seems okay with this, if at some point they will get tired of giving us their lunch money.

Todd, I’m sure there will come a day when they get tired of loaning us money. Scary.
