This is the best rant I’ve heard in a long time! Rick Santelli spoke his mind on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange to cheers from the traders.
“President Obama are you listening?” “How about putting up a website asking if people want to subsidize bad behavior….or reward people who want to carry water instead of drinking the water?” “The government is promoting bad behavior….do we really want to subsidize losers’ mortgages?”
This is fantastic. Santelli was asked if he’d want to take Senator Roland Burris’s spot if Burris gets kicked out of the Senate to which he replied that he wouldn’t want to take a shower every hour!
This may clue in the clueless as to why the stock market tanks every time The One opens his pie hole.

I caught the audio only on Rush this morning, and that was the happiest I’ve felt since November 4th. That and the fact that advanced-placement-Government-class high schools students in Mesa Arizona actually laughed at part of the One’s speech. HooAh to Santelli. I’m a fan.

Tom Latham responded to my rant here in Iowa with a pc version of what Santelli said. He voted against BOTH stimulus pkgs. Thank God there are a FEW brave souls in Washington, but WE THE PEOPLE need to SCREAM – everyday.
Taxation without representation was the foundation of our democracy. If we don’t revolt against government spending and the welfare state, we will be worse off then when we were under the Queen’s rule.

I watch CNBC and Bloomberg a lot. Santelli is one of my favorites. Rick may be one of the first on TV to label the Tarp as socialism. His criticism of the administration is relentless.

I love this guy. I watch it back to back with the video of Boehner smackin’ down the Screwulous Bill (whack! nope! hahaha!)…it just makes me laugh. Might be hysteria starting, I dunno. I just know I need the laugh. We need people like this on tv A LOT.

Sad news to report, I lost at Monopoly to a 7 year old tonight! I kept thinking that soon our dollars won’t be worth any more than Monopoly money.
