Gotta love Rick!!! I would like to add my rant in that through no fault of my own, I was exposed to a GMA segment which aired a day or so ago entitled ‘Three Words to Avoid Foreclosure’. Much to my dismay, the words were …”Produce The Note”. Now although these words do not actually PREVENT foreclosure… they lead one into a false sense of security, in that if the institution whom they RIGHTFULLY have been paying their ACKNOWLEDGED mortage payments to, for however many years (or months in some cases) cannot produce the actual original loan documents, that one can forestall a foreclosure or an eventual eviction, for the purpose of, what? Getting a great paying job in another 90 days that will allow them to all of a sudden be able to afford the home? Allow them to now begin to reign in the ridiculous, entitled lifestyle that prevented them from MAKING thier mortgage payments in the first place? Or how about some time to sell some goodies on E-Bay or Craigs list to give them the cash to get current? Or heres one… some time to sell thier soul to the devil in hopes of keeping something that they already sold thier soul to get? I don’t think Satan extends credit either in this market.
I would like to give MY three words to help these individuals out and avoid foreclosure:
DEED IN LIEU.
Look it up. And YOU GO Rick!!!

Mary, I read about the whole “produce the note” thing the other day. Now lawyers are going around the country training other lawyers in this little trick. Why do any of us pay our mortgages?!?
