This took my breath away, like a punch in the gut. Let’s hope it’s not true.

I need a Pepcid.

Here is what we can expect from the current crop of republicans:

  2. I read that today. Very disheartening. Did you read my post “Let Freedom Ring”? If that doesn’t take hold, and quick, we may all be doomed!

  3. Daneen says:

Why are you punched in the gut? I didn’t find you until after the election, I think, so I’m not sure what you’re saying here….you do or do not like Romney? I wanna unnerstan….

  4. Hi Daneen,

I voted for Romney in the primary. I would hate to see him go over to the dark side. (Shudder!)

I did read your post, it will be interesting to see how “Uncle Sugar” handles this.

The first problem I see is the threat of cutting off all federal funds. I doubt the NH government, or any state government, has the stones required to enact any move to be removed from the sugar tit of Big Brother. Politicians are just don’t have the intestinal fortitude to do it.

  6. AWM-Just a few weeks ago I was hearing that it will be the Republican governors that will “lead the party” back to conservative values. Now most of the governors are lining up at the trough. It’s disgusting.

  7. Angrywhiteman says:

LC, the operative word in your statement is lead, these elected REPRESENTATIVES have mistaken their role in government. Conservative values need to be represented, constitutional values need to be represented. One can not LEAD a value. If the Republicans had represented conservatism and constitutionalism they would still be in power.

I gave up on Romney when he supported McCain. We need representation which has a vision and sticks with it. Even if they are wrong, at least the people can understand the outcome. The days of primary on the fringe and general in the middle has to change.
Gov. Mark Sanford, SC, so far is the real deal. Will be putting a post later today of my letter to the Constitution Party.

  9. Daneen says:

LC, I know I’m a bit late coming back to this but realized I hadn’t looked for that answer. I voted Mitt, too. I think the RNC badly miscalculated when they “asked” Romney & Huckabee to step aside for McCain. It’s anecdotal, but I hear a lot of people who didn’t BOTHER to vote say that if it had been Romney, they would have–they just couldn’t get behind McCain. I really put it on Huckabee for not bowing out, and have to wonder where we would be had it been Romney v Obama. My anecdotal observations on other things have proven true over time, so I just wonder….sigh. Meanwhile, we can hope he stays away from those bad, nasty people!

  10. I’m still mad at Huckabee. Let’s hope the GOP does better next time around.
