So This is What They Mean By Change

Change, change, change. It’s all we’ve heard about for months and months. Some things have changed for the worse. Other things should have changed but remained the same. What we’ve seen for the past three weeks can’t be the change we’ve been waiting for.

The real change was revealed today when the Senate and House reached an agreement on the $789,000,000,000.00 spending bill. Good news, it includes change!

Q: What are some of the tax breaks in the bill?

A: It includes Obama’s signature “Making Work Pay” tax credit for 95 percent of workers, though negotiators agreed to trim the credit to $400 a year instead of $500 – or $800 for married couples, cut from Obama’s original proposal of $1,000. It would begin showing up in most workers’ paychecks in June as an extra $13 a week in take-home pay, falling to about $8 a week next January.

On average we’ll all receive a roll of quarters per week! Congratulations America, this is what you’ve been waiting for! Change is here!

P.S. You may want to sock that change away in a piggy bank for the kids…they’re really going to need it.
