And the establishment seeks to control their lives. I'm hoping that the kids who couldn't vote this time around are paying attention. If so they'll realize that they are the ones who will pay for all of this. And they'll pay dearly. I'm still in my sweatpants and I don't have a map either. We need to build that "movement" that Obama built---all that technology devoted to a central place where they could all gather & become a united force. I know some of us disagree, as well, with the Republican party from time to time (or maybe always)----but it's what we've got right now and we need to use it. If the Fairness Doctrine slips into place, communication amongst ourselves will be more difficult----that is also about isolating us. If there is no place we can "gather" to hear conservative opinion and plans, that also places us at a disadvantage, makes us feel we're all alone out here and what can we really accomplish as one person? That's not a coincidental side effect of 'fairness'. I want to see Michael Steele build a place where we can go to hear our beliefs and values validated; I don't want to see us give up in defeat because our voices--to each other--are drowned out by the Left or constricted by new laws that make it harder to voice and listen to opinion. He has GOT to get up to speed on the internet and how to use it effectively; there are a lot of conservative young people out here (kids! Kids who automatically get it and laugh at the One for being so transparent and naive). Those kids, frankly, aren't going to go to a dry, boring, out of step GOP website. They aren't going to watch a cautious, politically correct message. The left did understand how to use the bling. How do we push this? How do we get it together?! I've got my boots on this morning and am ready to go, I JUST DON'T HAVE A MAP! This gang has just two goals. Socialism and one-party rule in this country. The stimulus package doled out BILLIONS to groups like ACORN to help them with goal #2, the rest of it goes to goal #1. They count on the populace to be unedcuated in the way these things work, resentful of the rich, and hating groups of each other so that what they are REALLY doing is unnoticed. If things start to get better (stock prices), they come out and repeat the propaganda to drive it back into the toilet. Josef Goebbels would be SO PROUD of these people. I'm thinking maybe that IS it---as long as there is panic, people seem willing to let these people do whatever horrible thing they want, AND they are distracted from all of the civil rights they are losing (as compared to the rights they IMAGINED they were losing over the last 8 years). I know it sounds conspiracy, but honestly: the "normal" Dems I know are thinking the same thing, that they've been hijacked by parties unknown and they are just aghast at these people for continually making things worse. And here's some frank discussion about race for Eric Holder: I am 44, never experienced segregation where I live and I am sick to death of Black History Month. It started as a history WEEK when I was in high school. I questioned it then and I question it now: until every nationality gets a history month, CAN IT. I'm TIRED of it.
