The only thing standing between freedom and tyranny is information. If the people don’t know what’s going on they won’t do anything to stop it. The Democrats control the federal government. As they keep reminding us – they won. So why are they going after Rush Limbaugh and talk radio? Do you really think these people are interested in “Fairness”?
Kyle Ann Shiver has an excellent piece on American Thinker explaining in detail the left’s plans to vilify Rush Limbaugh (as they did to President Bush) and stifle any dissent. What a far cry from a few months ago when dissent was patriotic.
Ms. Shiver finds a flaw with their plan. President Bush, because of his responsibilities to our nation, couldn’t really fight back. Rush Limbaugh, on the other hand, can and will fight back.
Our new Alinsky-ite in Chief has dropped the gauntlet himself and has signaled to his ready-set-go forces that the battle is on, Rush is the new Bush, and the goal is, in Marx’s words, “the absence of opposition to socialism.” As Rush Limbaugh raises the most hellacious opposition to socialism in current-day America, he gives no “peace” whatsoever to the Alinsky-ite Administration.
This may be a miscalculation, however. The math wizards in this Administration seem not to understand that Obama’s 13.5 million email addresses are eclipsed by Rush’s 15-20 million listeners every single week throughout the year, and not just at election time. Nevertheless, it’s clear that the target has been picked; it’s Rush. And the process of identifying his supporters has begun.
From this point forward, paid watchers on the Soros-supported 527 payrolls will be recording every word spoken in public in defense of Rush; then these defenders’ names will be added to the rhetorical hit list. As soon as possible, a Democrat Senator or Representative will call for the hearings, then the legislation commanding “community input” to radio formats will follow, and prepared Alinsky-ites will storm the gates of talk radio, a la ACORN style. This gang running our federal government is far bolder than many of us anticipated. They can be bold, the media refuses to investigate them or report on the harmful effects of their shenanigans.
Those of you who vote Democrat because you think that’s the party for working people need to take a long hard look at these people. This is no longer the party of your grandparents. The left today is not out for the little guy, they’re out for nothing but their own power. And it seems they will stop at nothing to retain that power.

Me too. In fact, I’m email-bombing like crazy these days. We must learn how to be Cindy Sheehan—-yak and yak and yak like she has forever. We must learn how to make noise. I used to joke that the reason you never heard from Conservatives was because we all had JOBS and didn’t have time for that. Well, no more. We need to back up Rush and conservative-leaning programs, loudly. We need to bombard the Left with our unhappiness.
I’m actually less frightened than I am fired up. I’d like to ride up to the gate of the Capitol and paraphrase Aragorn in LOTR rings by saying “A day may come when the courage of Conservatives fail, when we forsake our values and break all bonds of our principles, but it is not this day!” This day we fight.

Wow! I need to look around at the postings! There is fresh game in here! Bush failed at the hands of a democratic majority Senate! A republican president with a mainly democratic overall government will find that his hands are tied on many issues. Then you have Rhino republicans and democrats posing as republicans. Our problem is that Republicans got rid of our left leaning and fence riding republicans. So yeah, Republicans are out numbered at this time but this country will not survive as an Oligarchy. ALL YOU NEED IS HISTORY TO PROVE THIS! Look at the Roman Empire! They were at one time considered unstoppable! But they fell because of their greedy government. This country was founded as a REPUBLIC! It is the DUTY of all Americans to keep it a REPUBLIC. All Presidents do something to upset someone and some are horrible compared to others but that should not be looked at as a political party problem in the eyes of a citizen. It should be looked at as a problem with 1 man! (Or woman) If you favor giving up your rights and depending on government for prosperity them please, Move to another country. William, a good portion of our fellow citizens don’t even know or care the meaning of the word republic. The lemmings! They want a pure democracy where they can vote to pick the pockets of their fellow men. Unfortunately, that’s what just happened. What’s next? Anarchy. What’s next? Totalitarianism.
