Today We All Lose

There was much pomp and circumstance surrounding President Obama’s signing of the most massive spending bill in our nation’s history. The One stood there looking as smug as ever, with his nose stuck up high in the air and an occasional grimace as Vice President Joe Biden spoke.

Before the ceremony Major Garret from Fox News emphasized how the White House has the attitude that they won the election so they will do things their way. Did President Ronald Reagan ever tell his political rivals “I won”? What other president has had such a haughty attitude?

Mr. Biden told us how many jobs this porkulus bill is going to create. Oddly, missing from this massive spending bill is nuclear power. Now that’s an investment that would create jobs. If we made a massive switch to cheap, clean nuclear power think how much money we the people would have left in our pockets to go out and spend to stimulate the economy. Instead we’re following California’s energy blue print. That doesn’t bode well for the good of the nation, as the Vice President maintained he cares so much about.

The One spoke at length. His believers most likely ate it up, not really hearing the words but the way they were delivered. He claimed that now that he’s been handed a check for nearly a trillion dollars America’s children can finally dream of a better life than their parents. What he should have said is that finally we’ll have a generation of Americans more dependent on government than their parents. He could have said it, his believers wouldn’t mind.

There’s no doubt the main stream media will hail this day as day to celebrate. Sadly, what they’re celebrating is the selling out of America. But hey, he won and today America’s children lose.
