President Obama is travelling to Denver, Colorado to sign his massive, big spending CRAPulus bill. Why, during a time of economic turmoil is the President using taxpayer money to fly to Denver (after flying to Chicago for the weekend) to sign a bill he could have signed in Washington, DC first thing this morning?
The setting, the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, is meant to underscore the investments the new law will make in “green” energy-related jobs. It also allows Obama to get away from Washington, where the bill’s passage was a mostly partisan affair, and be among people who may benefit from the huge government intervention.
The flailing economy continues to dominate Obama’s time.
Going to Denver allows him to get away from Washington?!?! Are they kidding? He’s been away from Washington (on our dime) quite a bit since his ascendency to the throne. He was away all weekend! Wasn’t he elected President of the United States of America – whose capital is Washington, DC?
In a nutshell, he’s using our money to stage a big photo-op. Forget the porkulus bill, we’re going to go broke just paying for Mr. Obama’s travel itinerary for four years.
Because he didn’t want the stock markets to tank too early in the day. It would have dropped more than 300 rather than the 297 that it fell. You can now buy a shre of NY Times stock for less than a Sunday issue of their miserable rag. Will THE ONE bail tham out, too?
