Democrats Are Already Talking About a Second Porkulus Bill!

Good grief, they’re spending money faster than they can print it but that’s not enough! They’re already talking about another porkulus bill.

Rep. David Obey, D-Wis., suggested Wednesday that while it is too early to be moving forward with a a second stimulus package, he has directed committee staffers to begin “preparing options” and ideas if another bill to revive the ailing economy becomes necessary.

“It’s premature to talk about a second stimulus package. That doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t be thinking and preparing options for the time when it may become necessary,” said Obey, who chairs the House Appropriations Committee.

Here’s an idea for another stimulus package: Let someone with a brain craft this one. Start with suspending mark to market accounting banking regulations – that won’t cost a dime. Lower the capital gains tax – that won’t cost a dime. Lower corporate taxes and stop threatening businesses – again, won’t cost a dime.

There, problem solved without spending any taxpayer money.
