I saw the exchange and I thought, he would have an explanation, but no, he just tried to slide by.
The other exchange which I found interesting was the:

Or he has one, but doesn’t want to lose focus from the current plan and admit anything less than total confidence in it. I’m personally hoping in the latter option.
