Glenn Beck really let Richard Blumenthal have it. He asked Blumenthal how going after AIG bonus recipients was legal. Blumenthal can’t seem to tell the difference between the law and populist outrage.

I don’t watch GB and glad not too after watching part of this vid. Here are the facts. AIG paid out the bonuses and then claimed that under the CT Wage Protection Act these distrubutions were in fact wages, and therefore could not be blocked by CT or more importantly FEDERAL officials. Blumenthal disagred with this and tried to get Fed Chair Bernanke to change is statements in this regard. AG Richard B. subpoenaed 14 AIG execs for info/docs to see if any existing CT laws had been broken. Comm. of Consumer Protection, Jerry Farrell, who analyzed the documents determined that no CT laws could be used to block the bonuses. AG RB did what he could, the FEDs, no so much.
