In normal times this would be a great moment to buy stocks. Everything’s down, why not buy low? Because these aren’t normal times. President Obama has been ignoring the stock market (that’s preferable to believing he wants it to tank). But suddenly today he took notice.
U.S. President Barack Obama said falling share prices may mean bargains for investors with a “long-term perspective.”
Obama, who is seeking to boost public confidence in his strategy to pull the U.S. out of recession, spoke a day after stock markets tumbled. The Dow Jones Industrial Average yesterday dropped below 7,000 for the first time since 1997. The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index closed at the lowest level since October 1996.
“What you’re now seeing is profit and earning ratios are starting to get to the point where buying stocks is a potentially good deal, if you’ve got a long-term perspective on it,” Obama said at the White House today while meeting with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown on battling the global recession.
Does he know his push towards communism is scaring off investors? Does he care? If so, he probably only as it relates to his approval ratings. Something tells me his comments today won’t lure any investors back into the market.
The problem is that investors don’t like socialism and they really don’t like communism. If you think Obama isn’t pushing us towards communism you need to think again. He’s already fulfilled more than 50% of the Communist Party USA’s agenda, and he’s well on his way to meeting all but one of the rest of their items.
So what’s the score? Of 44 items on the CPUSA’s list,
22 are already enacted.
21 are in work.
1 is being violated.Halfway there gets me my Bingo. Pretty good for being in office just one month. Heck, at this pace, the CPUSA will have to come up with another list by summer.
So tell me again, why should I buy stocks now?

Obamanomics at work:
Mark my words, he’s going to try to nationalize the banks.
