Al Gore turned out some of his lights during Earth Hour, but not all of them. Apparently, illuminating his trees is more important to him than saving the planet. Wouldn’t it be nice if once, just once, these hypocrites practiced what they preached?

Andrew Klavan dares the Rush hating liberals to Take the Limbaugh Challenge. It’s really quite simple, all they have to do is listen to Limbaugh’s show, not just a few hand-picked-taken-out-of-context comments the MSM likes to play over and over again. I wonder how many people will actually take up the challenge. It’s much easier to hate someone if you don’t know anything about them.

Last week President Obama held a “virtual town hall” meeting. He took questions from live audience members. The media forgot to mention that the live audience consisted of big time Obama supporters. Why am I not surprised?

GM CEO Rick Wagoner resigned, at the request of President Obama. I’m not one to stick up for Mr. Wagoner’s performance, but I also don’t like seeing the federal government making business decisions for companies. That’s what happens when you get in bed with Big Brother. No doubt we’ll be seeing more of the same in the coming months.

Finally, who knew that Vice President Joe Biden (of all people) would be the (sometimes) voice of reason in the White House. The New York Times reports:

But his views by no means always carry the day. At one January meeting to discuss the budget, Mr. Biden railed that the government was in no fiscal shape to pursue a health care overhaul this year — to the dismay of many present and others who heard about it.

The vice president later backed off, but Mr. Obama — who disagreed strongly with the view — has come to see Mr. Biden as a useful contrarian in the course of decision-making.

Rahm Emanuel, the White House chief of staff, said that “when there’s group-think going on, the vice president tends to push the envelope in the other direction.”

The Times also reported that when the president and vice president meet for lunch, the president decides on the cuisine. Something tells me even in those instances when Biden is right, Obama won’t pay him much heed. If he can’t even let the man order his own lunch he’s certainly not going to take any policy proposals seriously.
