March 26, 2009
By 31 comments

Some of my fellow Central New York patriots have organized a Tea Party for April 15, 2009.

This is the first of 2 Tea Parties for April 15th in Syracuse.

We are starting at 11:30 am in the front of the Federal Building bring signs and be prepared to march around the block. The event last till 1:30pm

We have permission to be on the sidewalk and on the property of the Federal building. We also have the park across the street from the Federal Building.

Please show all due respect to Federal, State, Local, and civilian employees and representatives.

This is from an e-mail. As soon as I get a link I will post it. Central New Yorkers – This is your chance to speak up. Take a long lunch on tax day to let your representatives know what you think of them!

Update: Information is up at the tax day tea party. You can also check out details on Facebook.

You bet your sweet, you know what, I’ll be there! It’s about time we made some noise and let the anti’s know they are in for the fight of their lives. I’m telling everyone that I know about this event, and you should do the same. Sincerely, Tom Marsello

    I wouldn’t miss it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The time to stand up is now! Carry “Don’t Tread on Me” flags o US flags upside down ( the universal sign of distress – not disrespect) in addition to signs.

Patriotism takes many forms, sometimes you must be critical and speak out. Participation is a great act of citizenship!

I will be there! Glad to see we are having one! I have sent e-mails to others and hopefully the word will spread. It is time to stop this nonsense. Let’s keep all posters focused on the principals of life, liberty and justice for all…FREEDOMS are at stake! As much as one might like to, no slandering of names or parties! We are above that!

I have lost all my friends over this Obama guy. I don’t agree with one thing he has done for myself and the country. I can’t watch the news, read the newspaper, or talk to anyone about politics without going absolutely nuts. It does not make sense, any of it. What is going on? My husband and I will be there on the 15th. Thanks for standing up.

I’m kind of turned off by the groups TELLING people not to carry “anti-Obama” signs. And the “We are above that” mentality has totally destroyed Republicans and the conservatives who have become neuters with no voice. While Bush pushed thru the 1st stimulus, Obama is destroying this country – and if the whole country is watching – wwe are supposed to just protest – what? – the “governments” taxation in general? Conservative are too touchy feel friendly to accomplish anything. I hope they do – but I just don’t see it happening.

I do thank you for posting this information here. I haven’t been able to find out anything without joining some stupid social networking site – and organizers from other factions attending have not e-mailed me back after simple inquiries into time and place for this event. Thank you.

We seriously need to unite – our government is out for their own interests, not ours. Take the AIG bailout – they focused on the bonuses in the media ($165M), yet they received $180B, $100B of which went overseas. They cannot explain where the money went nor who has it. The federal reserve bank, an unconstitutional entity, has no oversight. These guys do as they please and use the media to sway opinion in their favor. Obama is no different than Bush in some regards.

Look, we have tax cheats in the government, corruption runs rampant. The government creates the problem then creates the solution to the problem they created. We need to take it all back. Americans Unite. Funny – they railroaded through these stimulus plans w/o even reading them. Both parties are to blame – this is supposed to be government for the people by the people, all we get is theatrics and smoke-and-mirrors.

Just remember, “they” will be watching us, photographing us, profiling us, and will determine who we are. They don’t like this at all.

STOP OVER SPENDING, UNFAIR TAXATION AND SOCIALISM NOW! I will be attending 2 parties on the 15th. Norwich NY at 9:00am and Syracuse at 11:30am. Our freedoms are under attack and we have to stand up for ourselves before it is too late. The government needs to know who they work for!!!!!!!!!!

Wish I could be there…babysitting my grandchildren…but I will make signs and put them on my truck. They are taxing away our liberties. The politicians are corrupt whores who need tar and feathering.

Please email me. I too feel alone in Syracuse. I know there are more of us out there than we realize. One example was the long line at Barnes and Noble for the Glenn Beck “Christmas Sweater” book signing. I was shocked at how many were there and waiting for over two hours. Thanks for all of your efforts, and again please contact me. I live in Manlius and look forward to talking to you and support the Conservative effort.

Fellow Americans..How to fix CONGRESS and maybe New York State as well:

    1. Term Limits: 12 years only, one of the possible options below.
    A. Two Six year Senate terms
    B. Six Two year House terms
    C. One Six year Senate term and three Two Year House terms

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

    2. No Tenure / No Pension:
A congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no pay when they are out of office.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

    3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security:

All funds in the Congressional retirement fund moves to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system, Congress participates with the American people.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, server your term(s), then go home and back to work.

    4. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan just as all Americans.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

    5. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

    6. Congress looses their current health care system and participates in the same health care system as the American people.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

    7. Congress must equally abide in all laws they impose on the American people.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

    8. All contracts with past and present congressmen are void effective 1/1/11.

The American people did not make this contract with congressmen, congressmen made all these contracts for themselves.

Serving in Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.

Damn I wish I had seen that as I just drove back from being right in front of the Federal Building where it was held last year. There where only a few people there as I got there a little after 11:30 AM. No matter it’s only a 60 mile round trip so I will go back this afternoon. In the meantime you can take a look at my web blog and the My Gallery with all the pictures from lasts year TP.
