The Game

Millions of Americans watch helplessly while our savings vanish into thin air. Millions of Americans are out of work. So what is the White House doing? Besides throwing lavish Wednesday night parties, they’re busy engaging in childish games.

Most Americans are willing to give President Obama a chance. Sadly, those who are on the fence are going to be sorely disappointed if the past month is any indicator. It’s a shame he isn’t taking his job seriously.

President Obama began his term by issuing a slew of executive orders. None of these really had anything to do with the problems facing our nation. He was just appeasing the base of his party. He went on to outsource the so called recovery package, AKA Porkulus-Suckubus-CRAPulus-Generational Theft Act, to Nancy Pelosi. The hyper-partisan Speaker of the House made no haste in plunging our nation into debt like we’ve never seen.

The bill was rammed through Congress so quickly, nobody had a chance to read it before voting on it. A senator was flown to DC after a funeral on Friday because time was of the essence. The President signed the bill no questions asked, after a long romantic weekend with his wife.

Come to think of it, there’s nothing the President hasn’t outsourced. Oh sorry, unless you count those Wednesday parties and his ongoing campaign. He’s too busy campaigning to govern. And he’s siccing his staff on private citizens to distract us from his disastrous, outsourced policies. Well, he’s doing a fine job at playing the game.

But the job of President of the United States of America is not a game. Not only are the markets watching, and disapproving; our enemies are watching as well. And they are licking their chops. He’s doing their dirty work for them.

Obama may be winning the game of politics, but it’s at the expense of our economy and national security. He should be ashamed.

    Well said, LC & Kate.

Seriously – walking through my beautiful City of Philadelphia yesterday I saw a kiosk. Half of the kiosk was selling Phillies World Series champs swag. The other half? Obama hats and t-shirts and scarves.

My brother, who voted for B.O., even says “The guy isn’t a sports team!!”

…”The key to holding power, however, is blocking an economic recovery and having an economy in which double-digit unemployment is the norm. Don’t think that this would trigger a revolt from the American voters. Once the voters have come to believe that their own futures are tied to the whims of the political classes, they will vote their personal security.”…

Everyone in government knows that if you are spending under your budget, then something is very wrong. I hope the tables eventually turn on the president and show his true colors.
