The Stupid Party Strikes Again

The Republican Party, at this moment in time, is the only thing that can stop the march towards something no natural born American has ever lived through. And what are they doing? Nothing! Sorry, worse than nothing. Another gaffe from the party of stupid gaffes.

Congressional Republicans decided Tuesday to ditch the former GOP vice presidential nominee in favor of the former House speaker for the critical House-Senate fundraising dinner in June 8 in Washington. It’s the marquee Republican event to raise money for GOP House and Senate candidates.

Just weeks ago, the House and Senate Republican campaign committees were giddy at securing the telegenic Palin for the dinner. But then things grew murky. At the time, the Alaska governor’s office told FOX News that Palin was still considering the invitation and had not yet made a decision. Meantime, spokespersons for the committees insisted that Palin was scheduled and it was just a misunderstanding between the Alaska governor’s office and Palin’s political action committee, SarahPAC, that accepted the invite.

Sources familiar with the Palin snub fumed about how the governor handled this.

“She was a disaster,” one Republican source told FOX News. “We had confirmation.”

As for inviting Gingrich, National Republican Congressional Committee spokesman Ken Spain said the GOP “decided to go in another direction.”

“Speaker Gingrich is a leader,” Spain added.

Another source familiar with the invitation indicated that the campaign committees were so incensed with Palin that they did not even bother to officially notify her that they rescinded the invitation.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Newt Gingrich. This isn’t about Newt, or Sarah for that matter. It’s about a party that is clueless and leaderless. So what do they do? They announce Sarah Palin will speak without confirming it with her office (as opposed to her PAC.) And then what do they do? They trash her. And they wonder why they get thrashed in elections. They deserve it, but if they don’t get their act together we’re all going down with them.

I like Newt, too, but frankly: there they go again, another aging white male. It’s just NOT the aging white male party any longer, don’t they get it?? And why on EARTH do they attack her instead of glossing over? How hard is it to just say there was an urgent conflict, and she needed to spend her time being a Governor on that date? I personally would like to know who, in the Republican party (besides McCain) is doing their best to destroy her–while Libs are still foaming at the mouth and talking about her daily! SHE BUGS THE HELL OUT OF LIBERALS, why waste that?? Does she bug certain Republicans more, because she was more exciting than McCain?

Maybe it’s time for a third party. I sure feel like it tonight.

And before anyone misunderstands and thinks I’m just a Feminazi—the idea of an older, white, male president sort of speaks to “if you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got”. That’s why Obama is sitting in the White House. I don’t want a female just for female, or black just for black, etc—I want the best person for the party. But we do have to grit our teeth and admit that the face of the party matters, and it needs to be a different face for once! WAAAAAAAAH!

…and speaking of “natural born”—what’s the status of Obama coughing up an actual birth certificate and not just a statement from Hawaii on how things are supposed to work? Anyone? Anyone?

your party is so stupid. If it wasn’t for the stimulus. All of you would be on welfare. And our towns and cities would be in a depression.
your partys a joke. you love seeing people kicked to the curb and powerless. But when it comes to corporations wealth. your silent.
you had your chance with bushy. And he screwed it up. Deal with it.

Not sure, Palin is the real deal. She has a lot of middle class appeal, but provides too much of an entertainment value to politics. She has more flash than substance. In my book, she has made some serious mistakes and I would find it most difficult for vote for her again.
Somewhere there has to be a new face and new voice for the Republican Party to energize the masses.
