Charles Krauthammer was so good tonight on Special Report I decided to transcribe the video myself.
BRET BAIER: Charles, what are your thoughts on the day?
CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: Well, where does one begin? Obama says “In America there is a failure to appreciate Europe’s leading role in the world.” Well, maybe that’s because when there was a civil war in Europe’s doorstep in the Balkans, and genocide, it didn’t lift a finger until the Americans led. Maybe it’s because when there was an invasion of Kuwait it didn’t lift a finger until America led. Maybe it’s because with America spending over half a trillion a year, keeping open the ceilings in defending the world, Europe is spending pennies on defense. It’s hard to appreciate an entity’s leading role in the world when it’s been sucking on your tit for sixty years as Europe has [with] regard to the United States, parasitically.
BAIER: Was that a Charles Grassley reference or a Charles Krauthammer reference.
LAUGHTER.
KRAUTHAMMER: It was a turn of phrase which I’m sure I will regret. Look – and then he goes on and he calls America arrogant, dismissive and derisive regarding Europe. Um…the London Telegraph correspondent in Strasbourg said that this was the most critical remark he’d ever seen a president give on foreign soil and I think he’s right. When Kennedy arrived in Paris he did not attack Eisenhauer and the United States. When Obama’s elected president he’s president of all of the United States including Americans who opposed him and he owes American history, including the past he may not have wanted to engage in. I think what he did in order to gain the admiration of the crowds, he denigrated his country in a way that I think is disgraceful.

Krauthammer for President 2012. Now, THIS is an incredibly intelligent man capable of speaking with grace and eloquence without TOTUS–and even in the hotseat, like when questioned by a liberal UK reporter… Never an “er”. Never an “uhm”.
When was the last time Europe led anything other than the Whiners Chorus?

Tonight I could tell Krauthammer was really agitated, with good reason. I have a tremendous amount of respect for him.

One could translate Obama’s remarks: I know why you all hate America. I hate it too.

Obamas constant need to either apologize or condemn America and/or the American People, would lead one to believe that His true desire is to be not the American President but the World President. His catering to the People of the World, assuring them that He Also can find the same faults in the U.S. as surely they supposedly have allows Him to be on a more personal level with them–this Mans agenda is to be a World Leader (By true Definition)–

I’ve thought the same thing, how else to explain him campaigning over in Europe?

Tax on the mainland UK is too high compared to other Anglo Saxon economies. In this society hard work is punished while if one is on dole money than one is pampered beyond all reasonable expediences. It is no wonder than that people try to take their hard earned money offshore. Britain must cut taxes and spending and let people have what they deserve.

Krauthammer demonstrated a huge degree of dishonesty. He neglected to say that in the same speech, President Obama also said:
“But in Europe, there is an anti-Americanism that is at once casual but can also be insidious. Instead of recognizing the good that America so often does in the world, there have been times where Europeans choose to blame America for much of what’s bad.
On both sides of the Atlantic, these attitudes have become all too common. They are not wise. They do not represent the truth.”
Opposing Obama’s policies is fine but to seemingly intentionally truncate his speech to bash him is perfect example of just how low conservatives have sunk.

Krauthammer quoted the part that he had a problem with. The fact that Obama mentioned anti-Americanism in Europe doesn’t have any bearing on the point that Krauthammer is making.

Charles Krauthhammer is brilliant and he opines the thoughts of most Americans. Obama is a ‘boy’ attempting to do the job of a man and is sorely lacking in ability, substance, and character. His European odysssey was a complete flop and he came home with his hat in his hand. Having the Russkies agree to Nuclear disarmament talks is no different than having a Fox guard the hen house; they are not, and have never been, trustworthy. Obama’s swipe at Europe during his ramblings in Strasbourg in no way nullify his previous remarks that the U.S. is arraogant, derisive, and divisive. He wasn’t even a glimmer in his pappy’s eye when the United States of America bailed out the ‘frogs’ in WWII like we did in WWI. This trip has made it painfully clear that Obama’s loyalty lies with Obama and not in this republic. He butters his bread on the other side. It is also painfully clear that Obama’s domestic agenda is heavilly levened with and influenced by the writings of Marx, Lenin, and Saul Alinsky. His cabinet and gang of advisors(puppet masters)are as inept as him and are clueless as to how to fix the economic/financial pickle that is clearly owned by and stamped with the liberal DIMocrat controlled Congress’ logo of a donkey.
