At a town hall meeting celebrating one hundred days of campaigning governing President Obama had stern words for tea party protestors.
“Those of you who are watching certain news channels on which I’m not very popular, and you see folks waving tea bags around, Obama said, “let me just remind them that I am happy to have a serious conversation about how we are going to cut our health care costs down over the long term, how we are going to stabilize Social Security.”
“But,” Obama continued, “let’s not play games and pretend that the reason [for the deficit] is because of the Recovery Act.”
He also said we’ll be tightening our belts. I guess spending over $300K causing terror and panic in NY in order to get a new photo of Air Force One is a great use of taxpayer dollars.
I went to a Tea Pary and I’d be willing to have a serious conversation with
him.

I think OB’s idea of a ‘serious conversation’ involves something along the lines of a ‘PRESS CONFERENCE’ in some city that he needs to “FLY TO”. If he really wants a serious conversation, I think he needs FIRST to understand the term SERIOUS CONVERSATION. Based on what I’ve heard, what I’ve seen the man do, seen the man seek and seen the man authorize….I only see a DICTATORIAL conversation happening in this country.
