Hundreds of patriots showed up for the Tax Day Tea Party in Syracuse, NY. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day! People were there to protest the spending going on in the State of New York and Washington, DC. We thought the stimulus was supposed to keep our state taxes from increasing – Ha! We’ve had enough of politicians who sign spending bills without even reading them. We’ve had enough of politicians trashing the Constitution each and every day. Our children didn’t get a chance to vote for the change that will rob them of their future.
Many of these photos were taken early, before the actual start of the tea party. As time went on the crowd grew! I’ll add video later.

This “right wing kook” went to Olympia, the capitol of WA state for the event held there at Noon PST
IMO: Good turnout for a lefty state.
A few impressions:
(Surprisingly)not a partisan crowd. Big taxes and big gov’t (Fed AND State)were the gripe. NOT Right vs Left.
State troopers intermixed freely with no provocation from the crowd.
No profanities.
No (paid) Union counter demonstrators (This has happened here in the past.)
Lot’s of American flags and patriotic zeal.
Afterwards….
No vandalism…no trash.
All in all orderly dissent. Most folks I talked to took off from work and knew the REAL power of the movement will be exercised at the ballot box.
I’m NOT pleased with gov’t right now… I AM very pleased to be an American.
