Miss USA runner up Carrie Prejean sat down with Neil Cavuto this afternoon to talk about the flap about the gay marriage question and Perez Hilton. She said she feels sorry for him. She’s a class act and I doubt she has to worry about her future. She also revealed that she’s against bailouts and welfare, and she would consider going into politics!
Question: Do you think her gay marriage answer cost her the crown?

Isn’t it refreshing to see a young person who doesn’t follow popular trends in social thought, who isn’t afraid to speak her mind, despite the potential repercussions, and then has the courage to defend her position when she is attacked.
She may not have won the crown, but she is definitely a winner.

It’s strange to see this coming from a person who just paraded around in a bikini and had her body judged by the world. People in glass houses and all…
But to answer your question, no, I don’t think this cost her the crown. If you look at the earlier score there was no way she would have gained enough points to overcome Miss NC.

I still believe Carrie Prejean should have won the Miss USA 2009, and not Kirsten Dalton.
Carrie was looking stunning in her swimsuit.

I find it a bit odd that she would parade around in a bikini to be judged by a panel on her physical appearance. I think God intended that view to be for her husband, not the whole world.
I didn’t watch the Miss USA pageant, so I don’t know if she lost the crown due to her response. I understand the desire to include a political question in the pageant to test their knowledge in current events, but I think they should have chosen something less divisive than that question. Why not test their knowledge of the U.S. Constitution.

Politicized beauty pageant…
The crappy AP covers the recent Miss USA pageant, and it seems like they can’t keep themselves from focusing on the political slant that shouldn’t have been allowed or addressed following the winner’s crowning. When Miss California was being intervi…

Seems to me that gays don’t really want equal rights and treatment.
They want special rights and treatment.

Now we have reached the point where politics drives science, economics, and even beauty pageants. Somebody, please convince me that there is still hope for this country. (or what’s left of it)

Why does The Donald have such people involved in his pageant? Who the hell is Perez Hilton? He seems to know a lot about what people with half a brain are able to do.

Perez Hilton is just another idiot that somehow became a celebrity. No talent, nothing to offer. That’s the state of our society these days.

Perez Hilton makes a living off of destroying other people. He’s a social parasite. This incident with Miss California is simply him being himself.
