This is too good to pass up. President Obama visited Queen Elizabeth II and gave her an iPod. She already has an iPod, but not one with these goodies on it:
- Photos from the Queen’s 2007 White House State Visit
- Photos from the Queen’s 2007 Jamestown, Va., Visit
- Photos from the Queen’s 2007 Richmond, Va., Visit
- Video from the Queen’s 1957 Jamestown Visit
- Video from the Queen’s 2007 Jamestown Visit
- Video from the Queen’s 2007 Richmond Visit
- Photos from President Obama’s Inauguration
- Audio of then-state senator Obama’s speech at the 2004 Democratic National Convention, and
- Audio of President Obama 2009 Inauguration Address

Since the White House also has a seasoned Protocol Office, and there are standards gift types the President & First Lady give to other heads of state….does this suggest that dvds that won’t play in Britain and an ipod for the Queen is pretty much THE BEST THESE PEOPLE CAN THINK UP??
I am more embarrassed now than I was when I woke up–in London—to headlines of Bill Clinton with the big, black caption “Cigar, anyone?” Seriously. I used a different accent during the rest of my trip. I’d be doing the same RIGHT NOW… what a buffoon.
